Indeed, despite selling over 1.3 million units worldwide, the project’s poor promotional handling has led many to believe the LP was a commercial failure- even in the face of favorable numbers moved in the US, UK, Japan and Canada.
Well, before the release of her third studio set, the Rapper welcomes news that will undoubtedly force her naysayers to reconsider their stance on her commercial value.
Upon its release in select markets back in September, the Give Back Brands backed release has seen its sales sky rocket in the last few weeks by way of social media ‘word of mouth’ and her three part E! ‘My Truth‘ special which was used to advertise the scent.
Now, sales executives for the perfume have predicted that it will generate an impressive $40 million by its first anniversary- using sales generated since September as basis for their estimation.
“An extensive television advertising campaign is planned to roll out for the holidays. The TV spot was directed by popular video director BENNY BOOM. Sales executives for of Pink Friday predict that the fragrance could do $30million to $40million in global retail sales in its first year.”
This news comes hours after the Rapper was bombarded by complaints from fans- up in arms over the fragrance being sold out in a number of retailers worldwide .
Only thing I didn’t get is Nicki Minaj Pink Friday perfume -__- every Macy’s in Michigan sold out of the whole set.
