Looks like that Adele reign just won’t let up!
As predicted, after nabbing the year’s ‘Best Song’ Golden Globe for her hit single ‘Skyfall’ (the theme song to the latest James Bond movie installment of the same name), the ‘Rolling In the Deep’ diva now adds ‘Academy Award’ winner to her list of achievements after walking away with this year’s ‘Best Song’ honor.
Beating top acts like Taylor Swift, Jon Bon Jovi, and more, the win comes shortly after Miss Adkins brought the house down with a performance of the tune. See that here.

In a past interview Beyonce said that one of her goals was to win an oscar by 30. so you getting all pressed when Beyonce herself is telling the Grammys don’t mean a damn thing. 17 of them at that. She did say she wanted to win an Oscar but she never set an age or time limit. You are thinking of the time that she contemplated retiring by 30 but we all knew that would not happen. AnywAy, I’m sure she knows that sometimes it takes a long time to get an Oscar but at least it’s something for her to strive for, Lords knows she’s reach most if not all of the rest of her goals. Emeli Sande is #2 on UK iTunes, and this was the highest selling album in the UK last year, hopefully this year as well. It’s #5 on German iTunes and this album was released sometime last year.
If this momentum continues, Emeli will be the biggest act of the 2013 period.

I just came here to tell truths:
- Congrats Adele. She deserved to win that oscar for Best Song. She has been the only one in the last 10 years doing it a la true greats (over 20 millions from one album and 10 (diamond) in the USA, all the main grammys, nailing a song for a movie… everything
- Her performance was not good at all, sorry. It´s another proof of how the standard has gone down. She is a true great of this generation but she obviously isn´t on the same level as 80´s and 90´s true greats.
- Rihanna fans: sorry this is not about Beyonce, it´s about Adele. You are a little bit pressed. Beyonce>>>Rihanna at everything

My God I just watched Shirley Bassey singing at the oscars at 60 or 70 years old and damn it was everything. Barbra Streisand was great too. Both got standing ovations. She did say she wanted to win an Oscar but she never set an age or time limit. You are thinking of the time that she contemplated retiring by 30 but we all knew that would not happen. AnywAy, I’m sure she knows that sometimes it takes a long time to get an Oscar but at least it’s something for her to strive for, Lords knows she’s reach most if not all of the rest of her goals. Grammys are the music industry version of Oscars and she has plenty of them to be proud of as she continues her quest for an Oscar. Even if she never gets it, it will take nothing from her legacy.
