…and Frank Ocean‘s UK chart reign just won’t let up!
In what can only extend his reign as the world’s leading R&B male, the ‘Pink Matter’ vocalist has seen sales of his music rise by 136% in the UK…in the space of two hours.

Following his appearance at last night’s BRIT Awards, the British Phonographic Industry tracked sales of all entertainers linked to the event, preempting a sales rise for these acts in the market in the hours that followed.
However, while expecting a minor jump in units sold by all involved, very few expected Ocean’s sales to soar as much as they did- rising by 136% in just two hours, forcing his debut album ‘Channel Orange’ back into the iTunes Top Ten, securing it the #8 spot.
His success in the nation last night comes after his US sales sky rocketed by 120% in the hours that followed his performance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, and before the release of his hotly anticipated sophomore album- which he is currently crafting via Def Jam Records.
This, being the record label also home to ‘We Found Love’ singer Rihanna and ‘Runnin Blind’ star Elijah Blake.

Why do people need to put everybody against others? Both Miguel and Frank are among the most talented acts to debut these last few years (in fact the two most talented if we talk about R&B, the two most critically acclaimed this year by far). They are nothing alike so I don´t see the comparison
Congrats to both of them and I wish they really had huge sales (cos yes we can say they are having success but the truth is they aren´t big seleers, it´s impossible for R&B these days it seems)

This is why I think their relationship will not last. All the references to their dysfunctional relationship will begin to become tiresome if it’s not already. Did not know Frank has sooooo many fans. When a report of a sales increase happens, they all spill out but after his gloriously horrendous performance at the Grammys happened….crickets. As an artist, he’s a bit overrated,as a singer he’s highly overrated, as a performer, ummm. I’ve tried to see what others claim to see for over 2 years, I just don’t see what’s so enthralling or special yet.
