Jill Scott is back!

Wel…almost. For, months before fans will be able to watch her star on the CBS thriller Second Sight’the ‘Celibacy Blues‘ chanteuse has revealed that she is hard at work on her fifth studio album.

Watch her dish on the LP after the jump….

If released this year, this album will come two years after the launch of album #4- ‘The Light Of The Sun’- which birthed the Anthony Hamilton assisted song, ‘So In Love‘ and one of our favorite cuts, ‘Womanifesto‘.

Are you just as excited about this album as we are?!

I’m all for a progressive sounding album but I PRAY she doesn’t do anything ‘too current’!

@SHAWN242,She has a waaaaaay beter voice then Adele, she betta bring it. REAL R&B>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> blue eyed soul. It’s funny how they take the music that are most nown for a become a big success WHILE OUR ARTIST DO IT AND DO IT WAY BETTER, BUT CANT ACHIEVE THE SAME FATE.

Ikr! I laughed at people who think Justin TimberFAKE and Adelephant are some kinda fuckin saviours. No black person should support they music. We need to be listening to erykah badu and other soul artists.

Jill has a flawless discography most definately anticipating this one. Here’s to hoping that it will debut at #1 like Light of The Sun. I have faith that she won’t follow the trend but do what she’s excellent at….Neo-Soul.
