All roads lead to the July 9th release of Ciara‘s self-titled album.
The stage blazer has mounted an International promo push for the project, which last night brought her to London’s IndigO2. Billed as Musicalize presents Ciara, the sell-out show saw the singer perform a multitude of hits, as well as new cuts from the hotly anticipated LP.

But he is also closely associated with “Goodies” singer Ciara, having produced two of her biggest records, “1,2 Step” and “Get Up.” After Ciara’s 2009 album “Fantasy Ride” flopped, reports surfaced from former colleagues accusing Ciara of having “changed.” And in an interview with Jazze Pha, the producer confirmed that he and Ciara no longer see eye to eye.
“I don’t know what’s going on with her. She’s not really listening,” said Jazze Pha. “We always gon’ be friends but she gon’ listen to what she wants to listen to. It’s a weird situation.”
Though he was tight-lipped in his interview, Jazze’s differences with Cici were more specific on Twitter.
As Jay-Z says, it’s on to the next one. The producer is keeping busy with projects in both music and television on deck for 2010. He is one of the big guns working on T.I.’s new album. The rapper, who was recently released from prison, is staying in a halfway house and is only allowed to come out for work, said Jazze. Fans of the ATL rapper can expect more of what they’ve come to love about him.

For, while he is the last person Ciara needs in her career at this point, he makes a valid point when he says she needs to be micromanaged.

Yes, whether her fans would like to believe it or not, Ciara’s issue has never been with her material but with her strategy- the way in which her releases are packaged and promoted.
For, unlike her work ethic, Cici’s campaigns since ‘The Evolution’ have been shoddy to say the least, broken at the first sight of an illegal leak or low first week sales.
Low first week sales, that could have been avoided if her then label had been an innovative in their approach – ie, throwing cuts on iTunes the second they leaked, a la Keri Hilson with ‘No Boys Allowed’.
Now she’s in the safe hands of Epic, we trust LA Reid will oversee every nook and cranny of ‘One Woman Army’s campaign and use his pull in the industry to ensure the most is made of both she and her material.
By this, we mean pumping the necessary finances into her musicvideos and teaming up with the necessary outlets to debut them, making nice with ‘Clear Channel‘ to launch her lead single (no longer believed to be ‘Sweat’) to as many radio formats as possible- then encouraging digital purchases of the album by way of iTunes banners.
For, if anyone deserves the ‘A-List’ treatment it is Ciara, who could easily become a global force, if given the right ideas on and off the stage.
