Alas, in what we’re hoping sees tickets for the album’s supporting tour made available for purchase earlier than scheduled, Hits Daily Double have revealed just how many units the album is on course to sell this week- using its first day sales to do so.
Helped in part by its lead single ‘Applause’ and its follow up ‘Do What U Want‘, the album can now expect to shift anywhere between 250,000 to 275,000 units in its opening week, 100,000 units less than initially predicted.

On the other hand, Eminem, Drake, Timberlake, these guys get HALF the promo the ladies do, and they move 650K+ and up their first week. Even though it’s been a couple of years since their last albums, with the new climate change in music, you can expect Beyonce to do the same 250-275K numbers when she releases her next album, Britney will be lucky to clear 125-150K, and i’m not trying to be funny. It just seems that the record buying public is not as eager to buy music from women as they are from men. Why is that?
