I don’t like to blame managers but in this case Jermaine needs to go. Mariah could easily have sold major records this time around if she had the kind of manager who knew what they were doing BUT Mariah doesn’t want someone who can control her so unless she changes her attitude it’ll be more of the same.

Mariah hired him so she fire HERSELF for doing that. He did his best and she should have known he was incompetent from when she saw how he handled Janet’s career.
Selena just recently hired Katy Perry’s team to handle her music and a new team to handle her acting. She’s making her full and complete transition from t*** idol to a full fledged star! With Katy’s team, Selena is coming to slay harder then before! After selling out Staple Center and other massive arenas across the globe on the Stars Dance tour, she is definitely coming to slay this year!

But no, seeing how TGJ is hyping it in a positive way it must be Kelly Rowland or one of those underwhelming artists they love (it´s no shade to thse artists, but the thought of TGJ praising their struggling careers and average music while constantly bashing artists like Mariah Carey who just released a really great album and has a massive career gets on my nerves).

I thought it was Christina to, but, she has Irving Azoff as her manager and he is consider a Veteran. Last I checked she was happy with him, wasn’t she? If anything I think she should leave RCA cause they really haven’t been doing anything for her. But it could be Mariah too. Maybe she came to realize that just because Jermaine is her friend doesn’t mean he is a good manager. For crying out loud he lied about You’re Mine being a single. So idk it could be anyone to be honest.

The problem with Mariah is she gets downright lazy until she absolutely has to work. She’s been in this game so many years and in spite of that how much effort and hard work went into her latest album? She was acting like people should just hear her name and run to the store.
No, minimal promo, poor attitude, bad PR, confusing release, little fan interaction…it all spelled tragedy and at no point did Mariah ‘millions in the bank’ Carey step up to reign it in and get the ship in order. She’s too old to need a team to do everything for her.

It better be Mariah coz I don’t think JD was the best fit as a manager for this era. He should stick to producing. I’m a fan of his too so it’s no disrespect but stick to what you do best. IMHO it’s hard to market music to an ever changing mass in pop culture. Management needs to spend time doing research about how to re-brand and market artistes. Frankly, consumers need great music to listen to. Value for money is important. Who wants to buy a crappy product with only a few great songs and the rest is just garbage? The artiste needs to have everything ticked on the checklist: great sound, interesting image and very entertaining in general. I cosign on making this power move…so if it’s Mariah great… if it’s another artiste power to them! Step up your game and be on point.
