Should a report published today be anything to go by, ‘Cold Shoulder’ singer Adele has tapped the date above for the release of her third studio album, set for release via Sony Music!

Adele is finally ready to unleash 25 and as the world’s top-selling star, you’d imagine nobody would dare compete with her.
But One Direction are up for the fight. Bosses at their label, Sony, have also pencilled in November 24 as the day for the global launch of their fourth album.
“Gary Barlow also wants Take That’s new album to come out with plenty of shopping days before Christmas, so there could be a clash.”
And the trio could face even more competition to take the number one slot on the album charts, as U2, Coldplay and Kanye West are all expected to release new records in the latter part of 2014.
If accurate, Adele’s release date will see her join Usher and Nicki Minaj to launch albums in quarter four, doing so as sales of her last LP ’21’ swim towards sales of 27 million units worldwide.

Apparently from those who’ve heard some of the stuff, it’s her best material to date. She enlisted some of the best songwriters of all time to help her co-write.

She was in 2012, 1D is the biggest selling album artist over the last 2 years not Adele. Who had the biggest selling global album in 2013 not Adele, it was One Direction.
Adele and her love bases ballads will not deter r8 in any way. People are assuming rih will be releasing during the sametime. Either way rih will be fine. To different sounds, to different audiences. Im not a stan of adeles but she definitely has a few songs i f*** with. Ill be purchasing both bodies of work, from both ladies. What way to end the holiday season with two higly anticipated albums.

When will Rihanna is the better question? Don’t try to bring Beyonce into this in a transparent and very, very desperate attempt to divert attention away from how Adele’s new album release date stands the chance of being a virtual iceberg for Rihanna’s plan A and B.
Taylor’s got October and will probably dominate all the way up until Adele and 1D. All three will then duke it out all the way up to Christmas. Where does Rihanna realistically fit into any of that? We all know that her albums don’t triumph against more hotly anticipated releases…and Taylor, 1D and Adele especially are the epitome of that. She couldn’t compete with any of them individually; collectively they will literally avalanche her.
Rihanna’s camp were trying to be cute and prove to the cynics that she could handle a break, but don’t pretend that extending it past this coming holiday shopping season won’t be venturing into more dangerous territory. What’s she gonna do release in January-March when music sales are dead? Heh. That would damn near guarantee Ciara/Kelly/Mariah numbers. And if they try to hold off until May or so when sales start picking up again, we’re now coming up on 2.5 years since a new Rihanna album hit the market. Eh. Her camp stalks black Friday week in November because the analytics show that it’s practically the only time her albums have a prayer of perhaps not putting everything in the red — but going against a behemoth like Adele is the equivalent of bringing a knife to a missile fight. If you really believe R8 will get even half the attention of 25, then I have some magic beans I’d like to sell you.

Well I need to get my wig extremely glued for this one last time I ended up looking at my wig being snatched with no warnings. This time I will defo be ready for the blood bath that will take place on the Billboard Hot 200 on the dates aafter November 24th. It only makes me miss how the King used to snatch bald every single artist in the industry. A couple of things:
1) Adele’s sells will not have an impact on Rihanna’s sales (if she decides to drop in November) b/c Rihanna’s fans will purchase her album regardless of who’s out. & if Adele’s and Rihanna’s fans overlap, they will purchase BOTH albums, so…..
2) 25 is NOT going to sell what 21 did–in fact, not even close. 21 is a flash in the pan album that connected to a lot of people from different walks of life, from different parts of the world. Those are special albums that are very rarely repeated. With that said, she will still sell very well (especially compared to everyone else).
Anyway, looking forward to 25! 🙂
