Booted from Def Jam to make way for a teenage Rihanna, the last decade has seen Christina Milian look on from the sidelines as acts she once considered competition touch career highs a number of ill-advised moves kept her from reaching.

Now, the ‘Dip It Low’ singer seeks to right that wrong with a comeback this year, inking a deal with E! that’ll see her star in her very own Reality TV series!

This week, the entertainer has kicked off her comeback campaign by paying compliments to former rival Beyonce and current label Nicki Minaj, both of whom she says she is eager to work with.

Kind words from the Cuban beauty below…

Speaking to our friends over at ‘Singer’s Room‘, Ms. Milian said:

Who doesn’t wanna work with Beyonce? She’s an inspiration, and like I said, that’s a dream (laughs), but you never know what can happen in life. But if you’re talking about big dreams, I think she’s just she’s iconic, someone you look up to, and she works her ass off, so it would be a dream to work with her. I love Nicki, we’re on the same record label. To me, she’s of the same caliber of a hard worker and she’s definitely talented. So, I would definitely like to work with Nicki Minaj. I don’t really have a guy out right now I’m just like “hey, I need to be in the studio with him,” but I would definitely say like, a J.Lo, a Beyonce, a Nicki Minaj, those are three very talented women I would love to work with.

well she did write that song Play for J.Lo which i use to love back in the day…honestly she’s talented and has a good pen game! but as for making it in today music industry i guess with the right management she can pop but that’s if she is really ready for the hard work she has to put in.

Don’t forget that she was stepped on by Ashanti as well. Her and Ja Rule had a few songs together and then came A. This poor girl never stood a chance, I think one reason is because she never caters to her own race or demographic. She’s Cuban, yet they tried to market her to the Britney Spears crowd (am to pm), then the Beyonce crowd (Dip It Low), Ciara’s (Say I). But I like Us Against The World. Just thinking that her and Beyoncé are the same age, one’s is at the door steps of becoming a legend while the other isn’t even on Kelly Rowland level.

ya know one of friends stated something like this….that the label didn’t know how to promote her as an artist. However her 3 albums were pretty solid and So Amazin was really good R&B album

Yeah, you’re right. Christina was the first female singer Ja Rule worked with (2000’s Between Me & You) that would later on provide the formula for his subsequent hit singles with Ashanti and even Jennifer Lopez. Damn, she and Bey are the same age? I would have never thought of that, lol.

I always felt Ashanti’s rise was what eclipsed her but maybe with a new reality show she can bounce back. She has alot of great songs.

      hahahhaha. good one.
      you were joking right?
this reality show will flop. maybe 100k viewers. still more than what some of her albums have sold though, so whatever.

If she were to say that she wants to collaborate with Mya. You know how much a mess that would be? They both sound alike 100%.

    • MisdamenorFan January 12, 2015

That was funny but she would have a better chance of getting feature from Stinkshe.

    • music is my lover January 12, 2015

actually producers would have her sing demos for mya and mya sing demos for her. a lot of those demos got leaked and people would often confuse the two talented ladies.

      • music is my lover January 12, 2015

i actually think that mya has the better voice compared to c milian. besides there are a lot more singers out now that sound like the both of them such as tinashe jhere aiko

  12. dee January 12, 2015

It’s sad that Christina would blame her career decline due to the birth of her child. How would that child feel upon hearing these lies. In reality, she never really had a career besides some lame movie with Nick Cannon.

  13. Rihanna #1 fan t January 13, 2015

    One hit wonder !!

  14. MISHKA January 13, 2015

She wrote “Play” for J-Lo and co-wrote “Baby” for Justin Bieber. She is more talented than people including herself thinks.

Her only “flaw” was to be too dark to be marketed as a Latina and too Latina to be marketed as a Black artist. But she’s still around and she’s still beautiful so whatever.

  15. TheElusiveLamb January 13, 2015

    She’s still so gorgeous.

  16. Charlieyoncé January 14, 2015
