Damn, 37 comments and only a handful are about the ACTUAL song. Y’all are mess. Anyway, the song is nice. Like someone mentioned earlier, it’s cool to see that Trey is still out here doing his thing 10 years after his debut.
I have to say something is missing from Trey’s music these last couple of eras. But this song has better production then his regular stuff as of late. Hopefully he can revisit his first two eras musically with a light splash of Pop & B.
He fine as s*** & his album “READY” still knocks from start to finish. That’s as far as that goes for me tho…
I like the song but that’s it. I’m still waiting on the remix of “Songs on 12 Play” with Jason, Jeremy and August, you guys.
The problem with Trey is he is like a one-dimensional character. He only uses 2 of his skills: he sings and he steals girls. He doesn’t dance, he doesn’t act as much as he could or should, he doesn’t have a clothing line, he doesn’t host, he is not a judge on a talent show, the list goes on.
As a music artist, you should become more than what you’ve become well-known for. Trey is a famous singer, but he is not a celebrity. Drake & Nicki came out around the same time as Trey, and they’ve since become celebrities, we’ve seen the funny, the goofy and the sad sides of both, they own clothing lines and they’ve served as hosts on major events. He needs to let loose a bit, and let people see more than what he actually shows.
Trey will always be Mr Steal-Yo-Girl. At this point, he is becoming Mr Steal-Yo-Girl AND her girlfriends, he’s aging like the finest wine. But it’s time to show what else is in store, Trey.
