Following in the footsteps of Celine Dion and Britney Spears, Carey is now said to be readying a live show based in Vegas that may be ready before the 2015 holidays.
If reports published today prove to be true, she’ll earn more than the $30 million Spears is said to picked up to perform at ‘Planet Hollywood‘, and would start the show following the launch of poorly received ‘The Elusive Chanteuse Show‘, launched to support her latest studio album ‘Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse.‘

I hope they go all the way out for the production! I hate that MC never established herself as a touring force. When she did the Adventures of Mimi tour, I felt she was going in the right direction. She was still young enough to make up for the lack of touring done in her 20’s, but once E=MC2 came and she canceled the tour after the miscarriage, even though I understand why, I felt that door was closed. I can’t wait go! #MimiForever
If said rumors are true this is a major deal for the elusive chanteuse to celebrate her 25 years in the game. Many things have been said about Mariah lately mainly negative but I believe this will be her rebirth to show the world at large she has earned her legendary and or iconic status and it should be respected.
She should put a big show like Celine, her shows were awesome.
Celine Dion´s show in Vegas (I´m talking about her exceptional first stint, from 2003 to 2007) was unbelievably successful and changed the way people see these residencies. Many big acts were not afraid of going after she did it THAT big.
Go Mariah! This would be great for her. I wish we could’ve gotten a U.S. tour though. I’m excited for her, especially after such a difficult year. Every time she falls, she gets right up!

Celine Dion went right after selling 600,000 copies first week of her previous album just in the USA and becoming the second biggest album of the year worldwide that year (Shakira ended at #1, yes Shakira, think twice before shading people who are or have done it bigger than your faves). So… well, yes and NO! These artist are too big to die. Their previous music keeps selling without even trying for crying out liud!. Britney´s case is different though. She has literally nothing going on for her. Still so young but with zero to offer since her only talent WAS performing, musically she´s nothing.
This will be perfect for her, especially considering how successful Celine’s residency was.
Good for her. With her personal life in turmoil and her being the biggest flop of 2014, hopefully she can redeem herself.
