Factually speaking, Adele has already “won” with the new album ’25’ – this, despite the LP being two weeks from its release.
Breaking pre-order records left and right, the ‘Hello’ led project is already tipped to deliver the biggest sales of the decade.
And still, no promotional stone is being left unturned. The British songstress is embarking on a media flood, one that will see her hit major stages both home and away – the latter of which will include stints on SNL and her own NBC holiday special.
First, though, will be a one-hour UK special – ‘Adele at the BBC’ – which’ll air November 20th…the day ’25’ arrives worldwide.
The chart titan will deliver tracks from the new album, as well as from predecessors ’19’ and ’21.’ Naturally, ‘Hello’ is one of said songs performed and, tonight, the BBC aired a preview on The One Show.

Vocally, Adele – as impressive as she is – isn’t a Whitney or Mariah. What she does have in her arsenal, though, is the ability to be a great translator of lyrics (much of which she writes herself). She evokes emotion with every note sung – a trait shown here in earnest.

I don’t why why, but I keep incorporating the lyrics and her studio vocal performance in “Hello” with the studio instrumental of “Skyfall”. It’s a little weird, but it doesn’t sound too bad when you actually think about it.

I Loved rihanna and own every of her albums, as i do with beyonce’s and adele’s (dont know why everyone here acts as if one Is only allowed to listen to one Artist), but Rihanna Really let ne down this Time. And as much as i’ve been hyped for her album in the beginning of the year, as much indifferent i am now. Release that thing, leave it, whatever. After the First Three i’m def Not gonna buy it unheard like her previous Albums.

Consistent but safe, pretty much identical to the studio version and subsequently, after 2-3 live showings, boring. She’s good but I hate that she does this.

No honey, clearly you don’t understand, which obviously shows you know nothing about singers, true music and what’s made the great live singers great… COMPREHENSION LESSON 101: nobody who’s into vocals and live performances wants to hear someone sit and sing something exactly like the record. They want you to sound as good, if not better of course dumby, but if you’re going to sing it exactly like you sing it on the record down to every run, hum and chord change then we can just listen to the record. It’s very boring. We want something else that we can’t get by listening to the record. A different arrangement, different runs or vocals. Not the exact same. Stick to worrying about people’s sales and bloggers fav’s.. You clearly don’t know music.
For real . Like with Whitney, where you can watch 20 performances of the same song and get something different each time. That’s always been my biggest complaint about Adele, once you’ve seen her sing a song once there’s no reason to watch another performance of the same song.

Adele is on another level. Commercially there’s no comparison and vocally there’s only a few that could even be mentioned in the same convo. I love Rihanna but compare this snippet to her Back to Black snippet from the voice and its insulting that her name is being mentioned anywhere here.
