Despite the rapper’s sophomore effort ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ actually benefitting from the new ruling (going “Platinum” despite total US sales of 788k), TDE’s CEO Anthony Tiffith tweeted:

I think it was a smart move because streaming is the way of the future and people are going to illegally obtain the music anyways. That’s why she and her management team did what they did. Now 4 was a flop for Beyonce’s standards. But even with the album leaked 1 month in advanced she still manged numbers of over 300k first week sales. Anti is also being released to all platforms with estimated sales of 95k to 125k.
