Sevyn Streeter is back and, like the runners in Rio, is ready to sprint with new single ‘Prolly.’
The newly announced cut arrives a year after the singer released EP ‘Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1’ – which spurned fan favorite ‘Don’t Kill The Fun.’
It’s been an interesting ride for Streeter, whose debut album ‘On The Verge’ has been “coming soon” ever since breakout hit ‘It Won’t Stop (ft. Chris Brown)’ was unleashed back in 2013.
Could the long-awaited project finally be near? We sure hope so.

That was her boyfriend, of course she collaborated with him. That’s not the problem. The problem is mainstream radio doesn’t wanna play r&b. Even Beyonce is having a hard time at pop radio. And record labels won’t promote r&b anymore.
If Beyoncé played by the rules of the pop game she would have no trouble. The problem is Bey has realized that she doesn’t need to distance herself from the coins needed for a radio deal to attract fickle casual pop listeners. Katy, Rihanna, both Justins, Britney, TSwift all use radio deals. Think about it. Sorry peaked at 11 on the Hot 100 Chart while only reaching top 35 on pop a few months later. She’s selling a lot of singles this time around as well without it. (Formation, Sorry, and Hold Up are all past gold, while 6 Inch and Freedom are halfway there).

Dude, it’s almost scary how underrated she is. I was sold on Sevyn being the next and can’t believe she disappeared. And then we were left with Tinashe being the only new comer. With this new post getting my attention back on Sevy I’m starting to have my old thoughts. Tin is creative and cool to look at but they’re trying to force super stardom on her. I don’t want to count her out but anytime something is forced it often signals that it’s not meant. I’ll wait, before I accept that as Tin’s fate. But for Sevyn. Bruh… Why hasn’t she popped? She has the voice, her music is effortlessly good, and she’s an all around performer. I’ve seen her live, she’s. GOOD! and personality wise, she’s a true sweet heart. I’ve met her as well. It has to be a damn conspiracy. I’m almost certain!
