Last month R&B songstress Sevyn Streeter was prohibited from singing the national anthem just before she was set to perform on live TV.
Overcome with emotion, Streeter informed social media that it was due to her desire to sport a ‘We Matter’ jersey; a move frowned on by the Philly 76ers.
The switch saw the team came under an extensive amount of backlash from the general public and the mainstream media.
They’ve has since apologized to the ‘Prolly’ singer, and now they look to further make amends by inviting Ms. Streeter back to sing the ‘Star Spangled Banner.’

According to the Associated Press, Sevyn will rock her ‘We Matter’ jersey when she performs at the Sixers’ home game against the LA Lakers on Dec. 16.
The starlet shared additional details of her partnership with the organization which includes community outreach programs and initiatives with the Philadelphia Boys and Girls Clubs.
