Keyshia Cole is wasting no time signalling her return.
Over the course of the last week aline, the R&B star has released new single ‘You,’ shot its video, and now taken to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to perform the track.
Remy Ma and French Montana joined Cole for the showing, which also saw her perform new song ‘Incapable’ – a track lifted from her 7th studio album (her Epic Records debut).
Interestingly, the cut samples Mary J. Blige‘s ‘I’m Going Down.’

After a brief spell away from the spotlight, it’s great to have Ms. Cole back and better.
Somewhat flat on some parts… but she looks great!

Since when are you a vocal coach queen? exactly. Never. Keyshia has a beautiful song catalog: I remember, Thought you had my back, I should have cheated, Work it out, Give me more, HEAVEN SENT. She needs to let me choose her greatest hits and release it.

I am a huge Keyshia fan and I find this boring AF :-/
She needs to be in tune more and sing louder :-/
I agree the music was too loud
And she was unenthused until remy came out
But the later half of you was good
And incapable seemed like a rehearsal like she wasn’t confident in her sound check
The sample is not Mary J. Blige. It’s Rose Royce’s, and Mary sampled them. Both songs are decent. I still wish that Keyshia was a better live singer.
We know Mary j blige sampled Rose Royce. But what Sam is meaning to say Mary J Blige made it popular again, and she owed as her own..
For both parties, Mary didn’t sample it she covered it. That being said the song was popular at popping for those original r&b and rare groove heads who listen to music from a time where lyric were classy and had more meaning.
She should practice You more she seemed like try not trying Keyshia ought’a have more precision with live performances by now. She cool but she needs to go harder for the sake of the art and the fact that her promo is always A-1 makes all these opportunities seem squandered
I love her records and her tone, but dear lord, her pitch. Really like the songs,especially incapable.
She was incapable of find her pitch and her note today.
Some parts were flat and pitchy but I could clearly see she was very nervous we know KC can blow she just trying to feel out how she is gonna perform the song which I’m interested to see how it will be without Remy or French.
Incapable sounds great. Not here but I know it will be another hit for her.
Call her a flop but she always outsells the R&B chicks no matter how bad the genere is doing same for Fanslaysia.

Does anyone else not notice that she is clearly HIGH AF during this performance??? the lips sync with the track last night was so off I was screaming at the screen last night. I enjoy KC but this was an extra mess.Remy Ma didn’t even look at her Remy and French really just walked over her this entire performance I mean she looked surprised when he came out lol. Long story short this is NOT the way to make a major label come back Ms.Cole.

Her energy was off. She did look like she was under the influence but her team got something right, I like that she is promoting the single on tv already.
So no one is going to say anything about the fact that she was lip syncing the last song.

Ummm.. I’m disappointed in both of these performances from her. Just boring and lacked energy. She looked like she was at rehearsals. I miss the hungry Keyshia Cole. She looks good, but this was not a good look for her “comeback”.
The first song was wack & the choreography was too. IMO
The second song was just an “ok” song period EVEN IF KCole wasn’t pitchy.
I’m still a fan & I hope there are better songs on to come on this new album
