New Song: Iggy Azalea – ‘Savior (ft. Quavo)’

Published: Friday 2nd Feb 2018 by Rashad

Iggy Azalea is looking to reignite the charts again – this time with new single ‘Savior.’

A collaboration with Migos‘ man of the moment Quavo, the island spiced jam is lifted from Azalea’s much delayed sophomore album. Originally titled ‘Digital Distortion,’ the set is being re-worked after the Aussie rapstress departed Def Jam for Island Records.

To aid her comeback, the femcee has teamed with Monster Electronics who’ll be featuring the track in their Super Bowl commercial. Gifted the song exposure to an expected audience of over 100 million.

Promotional plans aside, how does the ‘Savior’ itself sound? Listen below and let us know…

An actual bop, but that isn’t a surprise. After all, Iggy almost always delivers with her singles.

This is fresh, on trend, and radio ready. All ingredients for a hit. With Iggy rebuilding from the ground up though, it may need time to grow.

Here’s hoping that, unlike the ‘Team’s and ‘Switch’s before it, this is given the push it deserves.

She should have kept the original vocalist for the chorus. Still a bop though. I can see this getting remixed for the clubs.

The original with Akon is better but this is close so it’s not a drastic difference I like both

Why is everyone trying to redo old songs. Like with all these writers why pay them to re write verses(hook) that already been down.
Ugh where is nicki minaj or lil kim hell remy ma these useless rappers

I actually would like this if that Migos Guy wasn’t in it but the truth is the Hiphop/Black community will never let her in Hiphop is Cardi B’s world & the only thing that could over take Cardi is if Justin Bieber or Ariana Grande sung the chorus so it could go Number1 on the Pop charts/ White Girl/Gay community. Because that’s what made Fancy such a big Pop hit a Hiphop girl with a pop singer to sing the hook. But good luck Iggy.

  9. Truth Be Told February 2, 2018

I think it would’ve sounded better with a female on the chorus instead of quavo
