Months before the unleashing of her eighth studio album, Pop trendsetter Rihanna has found herself in the middle of a fresh plagiarism row this week, after the artist Jim Starr accused her of imitating his work on her most recent spread with ‘GQ‘ magazine.

“She’s beautiful, sexy and takes a mean picture.

Who are we talking about? Come on, it could only be ‘Half Of Me’ singer Rihanna, sizzling for her recent GQ spread, as showcased above.

Now watch her work everything her mama gave her in behind the scenes footage from the shoot below…if you’re self esteem can take a hit or two…”

Not content with turning heads at newsstands with her racy new GQ cover, Rihanna ensured all eyes on her last night at the launch event for the publication’s Men Of The Year issue.

The 24 year old model looked red hot as she arrived at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont to celebrate stripping naked on the front of the much-talked about instalment of the men’s monthly.

Role model Rihanna looks a picture of class in her racy new cover shoot for GQ magazine.

The ‘Diamonds’ performer protects what’s left of her modesty in the shot, which is sure to set tongues a-wagging ahead of the November 19th release of her seventh studio album ‘Unapologetic’.

Yes, Ms. Fenty looks hot. Yes, she looks model-esque – and we wouldn’t expect anything less. It’s just unfortunate that such imagery comes at at a time when it appears that she’s finally making the artistic strides we so lovingly recommend for her each day. For, by ensuring the spotlight stays on her near-naked body (which we’ve – quite literally – seen every inch of already), she negates the steps she’s made towards being taken seriously.

After all we don’t see the Beyonce‘s, Adele‘s, and other acts more successful than our sister Rih stripping off to sell records. Indeed,  despite being different types of acts, they spend time honing their craft and skill-set to the point that -love them or loathe them- you can’t deny them. A memo Ms. Fenty, with her yearly albums and slug-like artistic growth, can’t seem to comprehend – or is outrightly rejecting.

Fling open a window because this reeks of desperation.

You can expect to see more and more of rising rap star J. Cole on the promo rounds as the date for his debut LP ‘Cole Word: The Sideline Story’ draws nearer.  Seems fans ‘can’t get enough’ of the Roc rapper as anticipation for his September 27th released studio effort builds.

And while Cole has most recently made headlines for his appearance in the October issue of GQ magazine and newly released Trey Songz-assisted ‘Can’t Get Enough’ video, there’s another alleged video that’s recently landed him in headlines as well – featuring none other that ‘Can’t Get Enough’ co-star/cameo Rihanna.

To address that rumor, as well as others, Cole dropped by MTV’s Sucker Free to share the scoop.  Find out his thoughts after the jump:

Rihanna wants you to know that she is still thinking about Chris Brown. The Pop vixen opened up to British GQ about the nature of her relationship with the entertainer and how she feels to finally be free (almost two years after they broke up). Peep what she had to say below:

Having once again forgotten the whereabouts of her bra and dignity, Rihanna features on the cover of the latest issue of GQ magazine. Putting all jokes aside; though she looks great here, it’s quite clear that she’s really trying to push this ‘bad gyal/rebelious’ image, yet it comes off looking rather contrived – and quite sleazy (you’ll know what I mean when you peep the picture after the ‘read more’ link). Perhaps it’s this going overboard with the imaging that’s making for this Bajan model’s album to be plummeting down the charts.

In any case, I legitimately believe, once it’s realised ‘Rated R’ isn’t going the monster it was being hyped to be, Ms. Fenty will re-don the bob, find her clothes and start singing more edible Pop songs ala ‘Take A Bow’.

Since hitting the scene, Afrobeats belle Ayra Starr has been oh-so vocal about her love for Rihanna.

For fashionistas and fashion-forward fellows, “fashion’s biggest night out” – better known as the Met Gala – is easily the most wonderful time of year.

A designer costume party that doubles as a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, the outing is an annual assembly of Hollywood’s “who’s who” to show off some truly outrageous and over-the-top ensembles courtesy of top named and well-respected designers.

As history has seen jaws dropped courtesy of gowns adorned by the likes of Beyonce, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, and many more, 2023’s exhibition – christened ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ – delivered more memorable looks.
