5 octave songbird Mariah Carey was seen leaving her hotel in Milan, Italy recently. The singer will be performing on ‘The X Factor Italy’ later this evening so keep your eyes on ThatGrapeJuice to see all the action!
Rihanna and her close personal friend Melissa were spotted on there way to JFK International Airport, New York yesterday.
The amazingly talented Black Eyed Peas were photoed heading to a ‘Fun Radio’ event in Paris, France last evening. I still have their album on constant repeat.
R&B singer Monica attended the launch party of Jemaine Dupri’s new watch line in Atlanta, Georgia last evening.
Finally, Letoya was seen leaving MTV Studios in New York yesterday. Good to see she’s still hard at work.

Hot Shots: Beyonce / Jay-Z / Flo Rida / Lil Wayne / Monica & Family
The worldly Beyonce made a trip to the Pyramid Plateau in Egypt to visit the Sphinx this weekend. The singer, who is currently facing serious legal allegations, was taught a bit about Egyptian history from the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass.
On the other side of the globe, B’s husband, Jay-Z, was photoed watching the L.A. Lakers/New Orleans Hornets game that the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Rapper Flo Rida and his gigantic watch also enjoyed watching some basketball at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
Lil Wayne was at the American Airlines Arena as well. Finally, we can see what’s in his cup!
And last but not least, R&B singer Monica, her fiance Rodney “Rocko” Hill and adorable son Rodney were spotted at a bowling alley in Atlanta this weekend. Monica always looks on point.

Hot Shots: Soul Train Awards 2009
The Soul Train Awards were held at the World Congress Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s great to see that this show is still going strong after all these years. Peep some of the excitement below:

Watch: Monica’s ‘Still Standing’ Reality Show (Episode 2)
Check out episode 2 of Monica’s BET reality show ‘Still Standing’, which aired in the US a few hours ago. The show has been a massive ratings winner for the network, which is quite refreshing as folk are evidently find warmth in the sincerity and genuineness of the show, as opposed to the made-for-TV foolishness a lot of these shows usually exhibit.
In any case, I really enjoyed this week’s episode and will continue to tune in. Can’t wait for her ‘Still Standing’ LP to drop.

Monica Performs ‘Still Standing’ On Mo’Nique
R&B star Monica stopped by the Mo’Nique Show this week to promote her new BET reality series ‘Still Standing’. As well giving a rousing performance of her song of the same, she spoke about a range of things including her time in the industry, how she’s sustained, her children and much more. Ms. Arnold comes across real humble and intelligent here, two qualities which are oft absent in many an artist. Refreshing.

Check out the first episode of Monica’s new BET reality show ‘Still Standing’. Having just finished watching this, I will most definitely be watching again. Thankfully absent is the the tomfoolery which seems to pervade most reality shows these days. With Ms. Monica being such an immense talent, I’m really hoping this is show catapaults her back to her deserved position – on top. Good stuff.

The-Dream Named New Def Jam Executive Vice President
Singer-songwriter The-Dream can add another title to his ever-growing list of achievements – Vice President. The R&B star has announced that he is the new Executive Vice President of Island Def Jam:
The Dream announced his new position as Executive Vice President of Island Def Jam Records Wednesday through his Twitter page. The 27-year old singer, songwriter, and producer sent out a series of Tweets late that evening saying:“I wanna Thank everyone at Island Records/DefJam for their faith in me and making me Executive Vice President of Island Records. Thank you to my team..my manager Mark Stewart & my attorney Aaron Rosenberg for getting this 1st step of a goal accomplished. Thanks to Judy. Thank you to my partner Tricky Stewart and the RadioKilla & RedZone Staff. LA Reid, Karen Kwak, Steve Bartels, Joe Barino. Steve Gotlieb and Thank you, Universal Chairman, Doug Morris. I look forward to the challenge of rebuilding music for not only Island Records, But for Universal Records as a whole. Today I’m humbled and blessed. Terius “The-Dream”RadioKilla is taking over the position previously held by Chris Hicks, who took over the position after the untimely death of Def Jam executive, Shakir Stewart. Now L.A. I’m still a little baffled at the idea of artists/producers taking up such high positions at labels, as most evidence points to things turning out to be a disaster (see: 50 Cent & G-Unit, Jermaine Dupri etc). That said, congratulations to The-Dream…

Lil’ Kim Voted Off Dancing With The Stars
In what is being deemed the shock of the season, rapper Lil’ Kim was voted off ABC’s Dancing With The Stars last night. The pint-sized star was seen by many as a contender for the show’s title, however after the viewers vote was sent home.
B.S, IMO. Here’s hoping the show has given Ms. Jones a big enough launch-pad to reignite things on the rap tip; I still have ‘The Naked Truth’ is still on heavy rotation…

Spotted: Christina Milian & The-Dream Kissing
So much for Christina Milian and The-Dream’s denials about their rumored relationship; the pair were snapped yesterday looking very ‘coupley’ (kissing, canoodling etc) in Hawaii.
Ever since it was announced that Milian had entered a joint label venture with Dream’s Radio Killa imprint and her current label home MySpace Records/Interscope, tongues have been wagging as to what the pair’s status is – which these pics seem to confirm.
While their relationship is their own business (LOL), I sure hope their union yields better results than Christina’s last singer / producer romance with Dre (of Cool & Dre), which spawn her awful ‘So Amazing’ LP. I guess time will tell…

‘Notorious: The Movie’: Your Thoughts?
While the Notorious B.I.G biopic hit theatres in the US last month, the movie is set to debut here in the UK on February 13th. That Grape Juice was on hand at the selected press screening hosted by Fox last week in London’s Leicester Square.
I must say, after being a little pessimistic about the movie upon hearing about it, I was positively blown away. The stellar cast and the very impressive capturing of the 90’s Hip-Hop scene really made for this to be one of the most authentic (feeling) biopics I’ve seen. A great movie.
(Tidbits: Angela Basset really shines as Biggie’s mother Voletta, while former 3LW star Naturi Naughton really surprises with her turn as Lil’ Kim. Puffy is also a must-see)
With that, we want to know, for those who have seen the movie, as well as those who plan to…
