‘One Wish’ singer Ray J will likely wish he hadn’t taken to social media to assert Monica go on tour with his sister and her fellow R&B icon Brandy after he gets a load of the former’s response to the suggestion.
As reported here, Ray took to Instagram last week during one of Monica’s live sessions to comment his belief it’s time ‘The Boy is Mine’ hitmakers embarked on a world tour.
“Brandy/Monica Tour – please let’s make history,” he said at the time. “One run for the fans – 100M plus for both of you.”
The statement caught the eye of many-a-dedicated fan of the R&B divas, many of whom have been calling for the GRAMMY winners to launch a jaunt live effort for years.
And while its a topic both singers have fielded in respective interviews over the years, neither has ever made an official public statement about the matter – a conversation Mo believes should be held privately first as she indicated on Instagram on Wednesday (March 20).
This, after she suggests she’s been bombarded with questions about a tour that was never agreed to in the first place.
“I’ve been repeatedly contacted about interviews where my name and tour possibilities are being discussed. I’ve not received any contracts or calls about said tour. Ray J – I’m kindly asking you to stop speaking on me in public! A private conversation would be both necessary and respectful! Brandy is a LEGEND! She’s one of one with an extensive catalog that I deeply respect and a voice sent from heaven! The conversation being had without she and I is beginning to muddy the waters severely! She and I are both consummate professionals that share a massive recording as well as an entire era! Please allow this to remain positive and beautiful! Neither should open, we should give someone else that opportunity and co-headline a massive shared stage if this is to ever happen! Any further convo should be private,” she relayed.
At the time of this report Ray nor Brandy has not responded to Mo’s lengthy statement.

Mya is often forgotten amongst brandy Monica and Aaliyah. She was also a huge force for black t*** pop back in the 90s and held her own for a few years. Those 4 were the original Britney Christina Jessica and Mandy before t*** pop went white again in the 90s.
Mya should be the main opener and then they should have two new girlies open up with small sets before her and then the main event being Brandy/Monica.

In a Breakfast Club interview. This article is incomplete since it doesn’t even mention the part that really struck a nerve for Monica, those statements during the Breakfast Club interview by Ray J and Jess about Monica being the one who should open the tour/perform first.
That was disrespectful to suggest Monica open for Brandy and vice versa! Give another artist from their Era a chance to resurface their music: 702, Nivea, Lil Mo, Amerie, Tierra-Marie, or Mya’.
That’s disrespectful to Mya she may not have gotten as big as those 2 but she certainly got close and had a good run herself. She has 1 Grammy just like them.
