‘Lifetime’ Readies Two R. Kelly Specials / Will Explore Shocking Allegations

Published: Tuesday 8th May 2018 by David

R. Kelly’s year has just gone from bad…to worse.

Details on Lifetime’s plans to lift the lid on is darkest secrets below…

The platform is determined to use its resources to fight against the abuse of women and girls and so, as part of their Stop Violence Against Women campaign, is readying two movies set to expose the R&B singer’s predatory antics.

One is a movie. The other? A docuseries.

‘Shadow & Act’ reports…

The untitled documentary series will investigate the rumors against Kelly of abuse, predatory behavior and pedophilia, including, for the first-time ever, stories from survivors and those in R. Kelly’s inner circle with new allegations.

The TV film will dive into R. Kelly’s inner-world, “detailing allegations of abuse and mind games.”

The documentary series and movie are both exec produced by Joel Karsberg and Jesse Daniels of Kreativ Inc. Dream Hampton is an exec producer for the series while Ilene Kahn Power is an exec producer for the movie. Lifetime’s Brie Miranda Bryant is also an exec producer on the series.

Kelly is yet to respond to Lifetime’s damning plans and, despite being accused of molesting over twenty women and girls, denies all of the allegations he is now forced to confront.

Two of the alleged “victims” did an interview on the Today show:

I watched the video and my issue with these women are that the media is falsely spinning the story to pretend like these women are children when they were not. They were living with R. Kelly by their own choice. I’m not saying mental abuse is right but common now as a grown woman you have to leave the situation because legally it is very hard to convict any grown person of conflicting mental abuse on another adult. That is the problem here….since legally R. Kelly is not doing anything illegal the media is painting a false picture instead of sticking to the facts and what these “victims” are saying. I feel like the “victims” are not being heard by the public. Where these grown women homeless? Why did these grown women keep living in his house and dealing with mental abuse?

Amid all the recent allegations, R. Kelly is still going strong on the touring circuit with his latest trek the “Memory Lane Tour.” The R&B legend is focused on nostalgia as he brings his catalog of hits and classics to adorning fans city after city.

Kellz latest show will be going down on Friday, May 11 in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Greensboro Coliseum. R. Kelly and his team have consistently denied the claims and have been calling the protests “unjust and off-target.”
