‘The Lion King’ made headlines the world over this week when the first trailer for Disney‘s live-action remake was unleashed.
Hatched as Thanksgiving surprise, the stunning short was the inaugural glimpse at the flick, which arrives on July 19th 2019.
The Jon Favreau production is receiving ample interest from music lovers, thanks to the prominent roles of Donald Glover (Simba) and Beyonce (Nala).
And so intense has the excitement been, it’s seen the ‘The Lion King’ trailer shatter a record for Disney.

Bey and Mariahs voices are far more appealing than Whitney’s voice IMO. Lighter and More sultry appealing makes them more commercially available as well, Far more technique and Range (Bey 4 Octaves… Mariah 5 Octaves) and Beys voice suits ANY and EVERY genre. They LOOK better too but Having Light Skin doesn’t hurt matters either if u know where I’m getting at. ?

I am so proud of her for even being considered for such a large role. Lion King is masterpiece and has impacted so many lives. 80s and 90s babies loved this. I used to watch this movie at least once a week. Awh man, those were the times: Lion King, Mulan, Little Mermaid, Toy Story& so many more. Disney>CN & Nick forever and always!
Disney has a huge calendar in 2019.
Ralph 2.0 in February, Dumbo in March, Aladdin in May, Toy Story 5 in June, Lion King in July. The kids are gonna be all over Frozen 2 in November.
Not counting Captain Marvel in March, Avengers in April and Spiderman in July. And Star Wars IX in December.
Plus a few other movies.
Bee was supposed to go for a African music theme for 4, in the vein of Grown Woman.
But she dropped the idea for a more traditionnal Urban Pop sound.
Apparently she asked in her contract to be the Executive Producer of the soundtrack but they also brought back the team from the original movie. And she worked with Elton John.
Very excited to hear it, I hope she will bring big vocals unlike her past 2 solo efforts (3 counting the joint album with Jay).

Unfortunately the trailer was weak. Aladdin and Dumbo trailers were way better. Lion King is the most successful animated film ever so this was bound to happen though.
