Movie Trailer: ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (Starring Oprah Winfrey)’

April 22nd will deliver the premiere date for ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks‘, the movie in which Oprah Winfrey will tell the true story of an African-American woman whose body parts were stolen from her by the medical community.

In it, Lacks’ daughter embarks on a journey towards the truth and, by way of the unearthing of evidence the medical community had tried to bury, discovers how her mother was used to save the lives of millions…and line the pockets of those who had stolen from her.

Reed Birney, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Uggams, Rocky Carroll, Rose Byrne, Reg E. Cathey,John Douglas Thompson, Courtney B. Vance, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Adriane Lenox, Kyanna Simone Simpson and Roger Robinson also star.
