First Look Trailer: Lil Nas X Gets Serious in ‘Long Live Montero’ Doc, Addresses Sexuality Complexity

Lil Nas X is renowned for pushing buttons and doing so with a brand of humor that some find funny and others don’t.

However, the provocateur ventures onto more serious terrain with his incoming documentary ‘Long Live Montero.’

Arriving on January 27, the HBO-housed special set to stream on the network’s companion streaming platform Max.

First premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, the docu-film takes on a diary format and spotlights 60 days with the star while on his ‘Long Live Montero Tour’, which was mounted in support of his debut album, 2021’s ‘Montero.’

In the newly unwrapped trailer, Nas reflects on his rise and the difficulties navigating his sexuality in the spotlight.

‘Long Live Montero’ will be broadcast on HBO on January 27 at 8pm ET and will stream on Max.
