With streams, radio adds, and hype in tow, Pop queen Janet Jackson‘s comeback single made a royal entry onto singles’ charts last week – not only gifting her 40th entry on the tally, but also her first mention in almost a decade. But, as this week’s refreshed tally suggests, the general public has pressed the “snooze button” on the singer’s latest R&B blazer ‘No Sleeep’ as it has taken a dive right out of the Hot 100 (an ousting also handed to fellow pop divas’ Madonna‘s ‘B*tch I’m Madonna’ and Britney Spears’ ‘Pretty Girls’ this week).

But, while pop fans sleep on the delectable groove, Urban fans can’t get enough as the track moves up to #8 on Adult R&B Songs chart and retains top 15 placement on the R&B Songs chart with gratitude due in great part to radio.

Now, as #JanFans await a chart boost from its highly anticipated official music video, fans of other artists – namely Rihanna – can already celebrate good tidings courtesy of that very medium.  For, as her ‘B*tch Better Have My Money’ tune was slowly sliding down charts, the debut of its much-talked about music video last week helped hoist it right back into the top 20.

Welcome back to TGJ Replay!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest reflective segment to act as a written quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday. Unlike its TGJ retrospective predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.

Cop a gander of the new panel for ‘The X Factor UK.’

Roc Nation’s Rita Ora leads the refreshed judge’s table, which is comprised of fellow newcomer Nick Grimshaw, along with returning panelists Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and the show’s creator Simon Cowell.

The quad kicked off filming this week in Manchester and the first snap of the 2015 panel has been unveiled. Check it out above.

As the music industry continues its shape-shift into full-on 360 territory, artists are tasked with finding new ways to intensify their spotlight.

Kelly Rowland appears to have clocked game, because beyond cooking up a new “uptempo” album, the 34-year-old is also broadening her TV portfolio.

Fresh from being confirmed for a stint on FOX  hit ‘Empire,’ the songstress has also been snapped up by BET to front her own talent search, aptly titled ‘Chasing Destiny.’

Prior to now, little has been known about the show’s specifics beyond the fact that Rowland would be piecing together a girl-group.

However, during a recent sit-down at the 2015 Essence Music Festival, Ms. Kelly spilled all on ‘Destiny’s’ exciting concept.

Per the video below, she revealed to host Adrienne Bailon that filming is already underway and that she’s teamed with Frank Gatson – one of the major creative forces behind Destiny’s Child and the solo careers of its members.

For all the adoration, there’s also a hyper-harsh side to stardom.

Just ask Ariana Grande, who has been receiving a lashing of late thanks to leaked store footage showing her licking a donut (without buying it) and declaring that she “hates” America.

Here at That Grape Juice we don’t like to wallow in such trivialness, however the heat being beamed the 22-year-old’s way has been scorching.
