Three days ahead of its scheduled arrival, our friends at KIIS FM 106.5 premiered the highly anticipated Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea collabo ‘Pretty Girls.’

Once the radio ripped version of the song made its rounds on the net, the ladies were prompted to push up the song’s availability on iTunes a day.

As we await for official news on her third solo album, we’ll be saluting Gwen Stefani in this week’s From The Vault. Our pick goes out to her 2004 debut solo single ‘What You Waiting For?’

After over a decade of success as the lead vocalist of No Doubt, the time had come for Gwen to fly on her own. On the high-octane track written by herself and Pop-wonder Linda Perry, the singer reveals transitioning wasn’t as easy as one may think could think. From the pressure of her record label and the expectation of the music industry to writer’s block and the guilt of leaving her bandmates behind, ‘Waiting’ represents a battle between two sides of Gwen’s mind – a rather neurotic one and a more confident one.

The first single of eclectic solo set ‘Love.Angel.Music.Baby’, it wasn’t much of a hit in the US where it peaked at #47 but fared much better overseas including numerous Top 10 placings in Europe and a #1 in Australia.

The great Francis Lawrence is to thank for the tune’s glossy video. Stefani – fresh off tour – is shown rushing back into the studio by then-label head Jimmy Iovine; as she’s trying to get rid of writer’s block she gets “inspired” by a very eccentric “dream” based on the tales of Alice In Wonderland.
In this clip, the artist introduced her back-up dancers The Harajuku Girls who are conceptually very important to the ‘L.A.M.B.’ project.

Having given the masses a sip of the soulful groove on his free EP last year, the Grammy nominated singer delivers with the full version, which was poured online moments ago.

The Wale assisted track is the first to be lifted from the crooner’s third studio album, the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Kaleidoscope Dream.’

Released digitally today, the song has been serviced in duet and solo form.

Queen of Pop Madonna is receiving yet another royal backlash courtesy of fans from her rap admirer Drake.

Despite expressing a mutual respect, with the latter even dedicating a song to the music royal on his latest album ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,’ fans have pit the two against each other since their controversial kiss at this year’s Coachella festival.

The story, which had died down, was given a fresh douse of gasoline this weekend when Madge participated in #AskAnythingChat with “Saturday Night Online Live with Romeo” and gave a playful diss of an answer when quizzed on the kiss.

Her response spurred a not-so-innocent response from Drake’s followers:

Tonight brings with the official kick-off of Ciara‘s hotly anticipated ‘Jackie Tour.’

Surprisingly, despite stage blazing being the singer’s trademark, the trek – launched in support of her new album ‘Jackie’ – is the first she’s embarked on in over six years.

That said, Ms. Harris has more than kept us entertained over this period, with epic performances on some of music’s biggest platforms.

The stars were out in full force last night at the Mayweather vs Pacquiao boxing showdown in Las Vegas.

And while Mayweather scored the victory in the ring, it’s dapper rappers Jay Z and Meek Mill who were the real winners. For, their ladies – Beyonce and Nicki Minaj – looked all sorts of sensational.

The quad, who  were snapped backstage at the spectacle, joined a long list of celebrities in the building – including Jamie Foxx and Mary J. Blige.

Tonight brought with it two knockouts:  one of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. challenger Manny Pacquiao and the other of the U.S. national anthem by singer/actor/comedian Jamie Foxx.

Lending his soulful croon to the historic number, Foxx’s organ-accompanied rendition went out with a very unexpected Holy Ghost-inspired bang.

Sending some into a praise, while others (like our friends at VH1) branded the performance “cringe-worthy,” see what we mean and weigh in below:

Drake finds himself in wealthy company today, placed on a list tallying 2014’s highest-earning musicians!

The list uses cash generated by Pop’s brightest stars to compile the the top 40 and is set to surprise any who may have expected the likes of Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez to make commendable appearances following the release of new LPs in the period.
