New Video: Chris Brown – ‘Wall To Wall’

Published: Monday 25th Jun 2007 by Sam

Chris Brown’s ‘Wall to Wall’ video debuted earlier on today. The song is the first single to be taken from Brown’s sophomore album ‘Exclusive’ (due August 28th). I really applaud him for thinking out of the box with this video – which has a Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ vibe to it. I was expecting the typical ‘club’ type of vid. Having said that, the video isn’t all that spectacular and the effects at times can become kinda jarring. Still, as usual, Chris came hard with the choreography and shows his competitors why he’s at the top of his game.

What do you think of the video?

The song doesn’t go with the theme of the video….i mean i don’t mind him trying to do the michael Jackson thing its jus if ur goin to do it do it well

Mr. copycat?? Ok dude tell me when was the last time you saw a video like this to an R&B club track?

Like all the greats you need inspiration. Chris’ inspiration was Michael Jackson and that shows in his character, Michaels inspiration was James Brown.

Chris is inspired but also exhibits enough originality to make his act unique. Not a bad song, fantastic choreography, great vid.

I see “Thriller” and “Scream” but I do like his dancing.

Too many haters, This was a great video and his choreography is killer. I have no doubt in my mind that he is a better dancer than Usher, Omarion, and pretty much any one in his generation; people really need to stop discounting his talent just because he uses MJ as an inspiration . He is very talented and I haven’t seen anyone in a long time like this to bring it THIS HARD.

This is da second time I really see Mike in his stuff. I like Chris. Da artist who I can’t stand is ciara. In everything she do you see JANET and Aaliyah in it.

So we older folks know this video was inspired by Michael Jackson’s Thriller, but either way, it was nice to see something going on in the video besides just dancing in the middle of a club … Hell, I can direct that style of video.

THE OUTFITS THAT THEY ARE WEARING ARE THE RHYTHM & NATION OUTFITS WITH THE CAPS AND ALL. I DO SEE SOME OF “THRILLER” IN THIS VIDEO, MAYBE HE THINKS IT WILL SALE LIKE THRILLER BECAUSE RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT NO SONG HAS OUTSOLD THRILLER YET, IT HAS SOLD OVER 104 MILLION COPIES. THIS IS ALRIGHT NOTHING SPECIAL!!1

Give him a break. He’s a kid for God’s sake. Of course he’s gonna try to be like his idols. Grown ass men and women dissing a 17 yr old. At least he has talent. Unlike Lil mama.

Chris is NOT 17, he is 18 which is why i am comfortable saying he can get it whenever he wants it.

His dancing got me wet but the overall concept of the video was utter garbage and not fitting with the song which a kinda like now.

how was he thinking out of the box. he was thinking in the I’m going to copy michael box……… please all the male R&B singers which are really pop do the same thing all the time……… nothing new here

This video is nice, and different from all the videos up now. I see the Thriller influence, but it has some new twist. At least Chris gives Michael his props.

For goodness sake, the topic is about Chris. Why is Ciara’s name being bought up? Let that girl be. If you can’t see that she has her own thing going on, then you must not be a real fan of Janet or Aaliyah.

Who hasn’t copied MJ….Please if it wasn’t for JB, MJ and Prince there would be no Usher, Ciara, Chris etc. Everyone should be inspired to take it to the next level. Chris is very talented, and finally a video with some creativity, other than drinking, smoking, clubing, grinding and so on.

Her name came up cause I wanted it to come up. And how in HELL are u gonna tell me dat im not a real JANET fan? B**** talk about what u know. Da only songs she have dat is different from JANET is oh and like a boy. Otherwise than dat, Stevie Wonder can tell dat ciara wanna be JANET.

    BIg s*** !

I must agree, we all have inspiration. And for people to not give Chris any credit at all is not fair to him.
Chris Brown has much more to offer; just give him time and you’ll wait and see. You’ll be proven wrong.

This one of the BEST videos of the YEAR!!! Chris Brown’s foot work is on point! The theme…”Thriller”/”Blade” was very creative, and if you don’t get the concept, then you’re kinda slow.

The theme is pretty obvious and it was well played out! Good luck to Usher tryna top this choreography. Rich and Tone really pulled out the stops for Chris on this one!!
