Rihanna seems to be everywhere nowadays promoting her latest effort ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’. This time the Def Jam star performed her #1 hit ‘Umbrella’ on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday. As has been the case recently, she performed really well and her new-found confidence as a performer shone through. Considering the news of Rihanna’s lower-than expected first week album sales, it’ll be interesting to see how she fares with future singles.

First off, I am no hater, however, I don’t think she sounded all that great. I thought the performance was okay as far as her stage presence though. I don’t think this will help her sell anymore records. I don’t think Rhianna is suited for the “small crowd” performances. She doesn’t have a terrible voice or anything, but she is better served with a huge stage, 40 dancers, a full band, lights, smoke, and all that.
With that said, I applaud her for trying to step outside of the box.
I have to say that at 1st really didn’t like the song even though I am a Rihanna fan. But the song is finally growin on me a little bit. I thought that the performance was pretty good.

I wonder how many times it took her to do the “I’ll be all you need and mooooooore” line on the Cd cause she f#cks that line up continuously on every live performance. She either hits a bad note (like in this performance) or she runs out of breath on the “because!” part.

I liked it. Any other time she looks like she’s bored with what she’s doing , but it looked like she had fun while she was performing the song. She did good to me, her new image is a good look!

honestly that beenie on her head is HOT and she made it look like its namebrand if its not.But people who are hating on this girl has nothing to do with their self.she’s pretty and has a good voice.however i felt that she can’t handle a live performance, she needs to do like beyonce and run on that treadmill while singing.but otherwise her new swagga is HOT and i know alot people are gunna cawp it..even the ones who are hatin.
