Rihanna ‘Don’t Stop The Music’ Video

{Video now working}

Rihanna is churning out singles and albums so fast these days; didn’t her 2nd single ‘Shut Up & Drive’ just come out? Nonetheless, the Bajan star premiered her latest single ‘Don’t Stop The Music’ on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday. The track is undeniably a dance song and the video (which Rihanna co-directed) really reflects that. I’m not a fan of the song, but its a grower. Def Jam are really covering all ground with this project – each single has appealed to a different market. ‘Hate That I Love You’ (ft. Neyo) has also been confirmed as the 4th single from her ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ CD.

What do you think of the video?

    the music video doesn’t do anything. But this song is still my favorite track on the album. [= She needs to slow down with the singles. They’ll get hot easier. People are still loving Umbrella she shoudl’ve released Shut Up & Drive now. & waited with Don’t Stop the Music. but w.e the girl is doing great. Keep it up Rihanna. =D

    Honestly I haven’t gone out and bought the record yet but she’s actually making me wanna go out and get it sooner!

    I’m liking the variety that she has on here. I’m actually interested to see how they all work together on one album. like you said, she IS targeting a new audience with each single, maybe that’s the point of releasing them simultaneously as they’d all have their own audience and probably rise to popularity in their own rite.

    We’ve got the R&B feel with Umbrella, more of a rock style with Shut up and Drive (which I think fits very well with her voice) and now Don’t Stop the Music with more of a Euro, techno, trance feel…..I’m lovin it!

    This might be a really good marketing strategy releasing all these singles at the same time to either figure out her biggest fan base and probably move her sound more in that direction or maybe…she’s just wanting to show off her range in music styles. Either which way…I think it’s a good move!! She’s representing well for us down here in the Caribbean!!

    she is talented and an overall good performer. however the rate at which the singles are being released is pretty surprising, Umbrella is still @ No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, Shut Up and Drive has already climbed to No. 22 on Billboard Hot 100 and it has jumped to No. 65 on UK Singles Chart even though the song isn’t even supposed to be released until September. Clearly there is no doubt she is having an incredibly successful year and album.

    This proves that Rihanna is an artist who plans on staying around for a while. I think the haters only fuel her album sales so keep it up!

    its really unfair that hate that i love you is the next single! u know she doesnt want it to be it..she hesitated when she said it on 106&Park!! its just def jam makin sure ne-yo will get back in the limelight so his album sales can go back up! he’ll prob release a single around the same time!! i think rihanna would more of liked to have rehab to be the slow jam single! but atleast after hate that i love you is breakin’ dishes!
