Polow Da Don Responds To Controversy

Published: Thursday 30th Aug 2007 by Sam
Following the controversy surrounding his comments on black women, producer Polow Da Don has has spoken out – again justifying his comments:

AllHipHop.com: So do you stand by your statements?

Polow Da Don: Oh definitely. It has nothing to do with me, these effects. I didn’t make this stuff up. Only thing where people got misled is that I said I prefer a White woman, and that’s not the case at all. Really, I date all types of women. It was a stage in my life when I started dating a lot of White women- that was just a stage in my life. Right now, I date girls I like. I don’t base it off of any shade or color when I meet a girl now. They linked my comments about the Black family and Black women with the “King of the White Girls” and [the fact that] I dated White girls. That’s where it all went wrong. So when I was comparing Black women to White women, that has zero to do with me dating White women. What I was saying was factual though. Ladies and gentlemen agreed, n****s and b******s got mad.

I think he’s an asshole a true to the bone asshole, y would u say something like dat, da first comment waz enough then 2 add 2 it like there’s nothing wrong, if u prefer white women so wat color doesnt matter datz ur personal preference, but 2 put it out there like dat was pointless and stupid

I dont think the problem was what he said about black girls i think its what he said about white girls.
The mans digging himself a whole

I agree Sam, he just added more fuel to the fire. idiot. He is cute though, but with statements like that, it’s a turn off

He’s cute but a dam fool!!!!

Why did he start that mess about blck women are taught one way and white women another, what an idoit I’m a black woman and I was taught not to let no guy disrespect me what’s wrong with that and let me tell you I know plenty of stupid black women who let their men walk all over them and they have that s***, just like I know some white women who ain’t having no s***, you see it’s got nothing to do with the colour of a person’s skin it’s how the woman feels about herself cos for real, if you don’t love yourself no-one will love you, if you don’t respect yourself no-one will respect you,

This fool just disrespected all women with his stupid comment, he may have dealt with some passive white women but they ain’t all like that, just like he might have dealt with some aggressive black women that don’t mean we’re all the same, and he needs to check his ignorant self

Me persoanlly I’m a lovely person and will help people as much as I can but don’t take the p*** cos damn i’ll switch on you something serious and that’s just the way I am,

If he can’t handle real women then he should keep messing with the dumb young girls he obviously has cos no woman is having his b******* whether black or white

I think you meant to say his comments didn’t make any sense. And maybe you meant to say knuckle head, but maybe that’s the way you spell in it Europe.

I’m trying to figure out when stereotypes became statements of fact. Unless he has been in every Black and White household and has evidence of this difference in upbringing what the hell is he saying.
Here’s some facts for you…historically Black women have be degraded by men in general black and white, and white women have been put on a pedestal that they did nothing to deserve. Not ALL Black women give ‘tude and not ALL white women are push overs. Relationships are about reciprocated respect, and as a Black woman I give respect to those who respect me as the intelligent, beautiful and perceptive person that I am. And for the people who don’t respect me…they don’t get rolled eyes or harsh verbal outburst, they get nothing. Wise Up, bruh its this kind of ignorance that is bringing the race down…get a clue.
