The producer behind Leona Lewis’ monster hit ‘Bleeding Love’, Ryan Tedder, has stated that there is a ‘strong possbility’ that he’ll be working on the much-anticipated debut album by ‘Dreamgirls’ Jennifer Hudson. This comes on the heels, interestingly, of Tedder’s confirmation that J Records label head Clive Davis is taking the album in a new direction – one consistant of “high-energy, beat-driven material with soulful hooks.” Here what he had to say about the project: They made half an album and ended up scrapping it. Clive — wisely, I think — said, ‘No one’s going to buy this. We’re trying to turn her into Aretha Franklin, and that’s not realistic. They scrapped a bunch of songs and started fresh”.
“I heard a Timbland song that was by far the best song she’s done. I do wish, and I know the label wishes, that this album had come out six months ago. But Clive’s smart. He didn’t want to just put out a crap album just because of the momentum” {Source}
It kinda figures. Considering it’s been so long since ‘Dreamgirls’ came out, it was obvious something was up with the project. Still, it’s good to see that Clive is making sure Jennifer delivers the best album possible. I’m real amped about Timbaland’s contribution to the album…it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with

ITs funny cuz Beyonce is working with TImberland also…i mean,…everyone think just becuase you have a powerful voice u can make it in this industry,..Dreamgirl was a movie and she had guidelines to the remarkable song…but now the music is in the pudding…and lets she if she can pull off an album….one album already been scrapped…not looking for her….can her 15 minutes of shining be over so quickly….
Put up or shut up thats all i got to say I’m tired of people making it seem like she was a force to be reckoned with because she sang a song good that any church singer woulda sang equally well but because she was along side beyonce everyones public enemy #1 because she was everywhere and people hate seeing others successful she got an oscar and alot of other awards that wasnt deserved. Now people thinks cause because shes in movies thats she will most likely only have 2 scenes in ie S** & the City and other movie that will go stright to dvd that shes some kind of force but she aint showed me nothng yet. Granted she can sing and i voted for her on American Idol while all thes bandwagoners and haters was on Fantasia titties and wanted her to win so when she got the role in Dreamgirls I was ecstatic but after the hatred towards another black female to up another and all these accolades she was giving for singing a song instead of acting made me really turned off from this chick. I mean how can she win best new artist at the BET awards WITH NO ALBUM! And as records have shown the biggest selling females ever and the ones who are ruling the game either has s** appeal A.Keys, beyonce, rihanna, or legends like mariah and Mary and know how to sing different types of songs rather ballad, pop, r&b soul and they rule it i dont see J-Hud being a versatile singer, a s** kitten ie eye appealing and besides screaming songs who would really enjoy seeing her live. I may song like a hater but im stating the truth this is reality and she may have outshined beyonce and the other actors in Dreamgirls but in the world of music s*** is different trust. Buts again put up or shut up!
For you Jennifer nothing happens before the time, when your album comes out it will be Gods timing. Gods got your back. Everything you do will prosper. Even your album will be a great success.
