Singer Kelis made an appearance at the movie premiere for ‘First Sunday’ (starring Ice Cube and Katt Williams) yesterday. Ms. Jones was looking good. On a side note, I’m hoping she gets snapped up by another label soon (having parted ways with Jive late last year); the industry needs artists like her.

I like how this project turns a few ordinary materials into something genuinely useful without making the process feel intimidating. It’s a good reminder that DIY isn’t always about saving money—it can also be about learning to see potential in things we might otherwise throw away.
