Danity Kane Perform ‘Damaged’ On TRL

Published: Thursday 17th Apr 2008 by Sam

R&B/Pop collective Danity Kane stopped by TRL earlier this week to perform their hit ‘Damaged’. The brief downtime seems to have worked; this stands as the best performance of the song thus far IMO. From the vocals to the choreography to the stage presence, the girls were on-point. Good stuff.

What do you think of the performance?

I am always amazed that these girls dance as hard as they do and still sing live very well. Go DK

Im mad they made the black girls look just alike. I mean damn d.woods hair is already unique why give dawn a similar hair style

Performance was crunk though. Yall know those TRL fans are crazy. I felt the energy.

I liked Aubrey the best vocally. I liked how she ended her solo part on a lower note. And Dawn With the choreography. DAWN WAS GETTIN IT. They all did great. Best damage performance thus fas.

The way Aubrey did the ending of her verse is the way she should do it all the time. She sounded really good. Dawn kicked as usual & so did D.Woods. Shannon sounded great & Aundrea did her thing too. DK was definitley gettin it! I loved it.

vocally audrea has the strongest voice and highest in range. she reminds me of christina vocally

aubrey reminds me of christina in the looks department. vocally she’s been on point but not the strongest.

shannon reminds me of britney plain and simple. she’s gorgeous. i can see her going solo and the young white girls loving her. vocally she’s stronger than britney in my opinion.

dawn has swag. her voice reminds me of toni braxton and her performances and dance reminds me of ciara. she has the best solo star potential.

dwoods has a great voice very trained and controled and you can tell she’s put in work. she looks great and her style is the most original.

By far the best group in 2000s so far.
They all have star power and so much talent. Each one gives their all in every performance.

don’t get me wrong the ladies of DK did work the TRL stage on this one…but i think the performance they did of this song on the finale of making the band was better…and even the performance that was making the rounds on youtube before the song’s official release. this performance to me seemed a little disjointed. their overall look #1. they need to all be workin it in the heels like dc3 used to. they have proven that they can to stellar choreography in a good pair of 4-inches.

there were also sections of the performance that seemed a little off…at one point aubrey kinda nudges dawn out of the way when her, shannon, and d. woods do their prebridge choreography. and speaking of the bridge…i’ve seen them do that hip action alot better. and the ending was a little irregular…IMO it was a hot performance…but they’ve done way better.
