The Dream – ‘I Luv Your Girl (ft. Young Jeezy)’ Video

Published: Tuesday 29th Apr 2008 by Sam

The video for The-Dream’s new single ‘I Luv Your Girl’, which features rapper Young Jeezy, made it’s debut on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday. Both the song and the accompanying clip are kinda ‘blah’ if I must say so myself. I’m still waiting on him to release ‘She Needs My Love’; I’ve had that on constant rotation since his album ‘Love/Hate’ dropped back in December.

What do you think of the video?

I consider myself to be a fan but I’d rather him release “She Needs My Love”
Anywho…am i the only one that was thinking “Usher’s – Yeah” video was coming on? And those dancers..Why??
My overall impression was….I just wasted 4 minutes and 10 seconds of my life

Very disappointing. I too thought the video was a cheaper, boring version of “Yeah”. Nothing was going on in the video at all! I thought at least there’d be a story line about him trying to get at one of his friend’s girlfriends or something!. And the best part of the song is what they edited out…. haha, weird.

so from here on out if a video has LASER lights in it is it going to be considered a “Usher – YEAH” rip off??

I love this song. His CD is overlooked. They must’ve been looking for a club banger with this song. I love She Needs My Love also but I doubt we will see another single from this CD unless he does a rerelease.

Ummm…this is THE jam and rightfully should have been released.

The clip, however, is another thing. Who told The-Dream he could have the green strobes from Usher’s “Yeah” video? Give ’em back and next time make sure I can’t see the machine in the background (2:13)…

If this song wasn’t so hot, I’d have more to say but “I Luv Your Girl” (and the rest of “Love/Hate”) has been my guilty pleasure since it’s release.
