Foxy: "I Just Heard My Album & I’m Devasted"

Published: Friday 16th May 2008 by Sam
Foxy BrownFoxy Brown’s long-awaited LP ‘Brooklyn’s Don Diva’ was released recently. In what has to be some kind of joke, the rapper claims she’s only just heard it:

“Unfortunately, during my incarceration, this CD was compiled without my approval. I heard this CD in its entirety, for the first time, just says ago and was devastated.

In another phase of my life and career, I would have dealt with this situation with litigation, but for the benefit of my fans and in the wake of the profound spiritual cleansing I recently underwent in prison, I made the decision to settle our creative differences amicably.’

Foxy is so confident she can re-up and bring the album back to the level of her previous releases, she promised to ‘deliver the biggest street album in female rap history.” {Source}

Could the lack of interest among the record-buying public be the cause for Foxy’s sudden charge of heart in regard to the album? She’s not fooling anyone if she’s trying to say she didn’t know the album was going to be released. If it’s wack and she just found out, that’s all on her and no one else. SMH…

    OK LET’S JUICE THIS GRAPE:

    FOXY BROWN IS NOW AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN A MEDIOCRE RAPPER AT BEST. SADLY, THE TIME HAS COME AND IS LOOOONG GONE FOR A HARDCORE FEMALE RAPPER. I’VE ALWAY BEEN CONFUSED BY THEM, HOW ARE YOU TOUGH, GRIMY, GANGSTA AND STREET BUT YOU ARE LIKE GLAMOUROUS AS HELL? SORRY, THAT DOESN’T ADD UP. IN ALL HONESTY FOXXY HASN’T IMPRESSED ME SINCE HER DUET WITH JAY-Z IN 1996 ‘AIN’T NO’. EVER SINCE THEN IT SEEMS LIKE SHE’S BEEN RECYCLING THE SAM MATERIAL AND SUBJECTS. OK YOU’RE TOUGH, WE GET IT. NEXT!!!

    Ha, that was funny. She can be hardcore and glamorous at the sametime. Just like a man can be hardcore and gay at the sametime.
    Yeah, Foxy doesn’t stray from what she’s used to, but Foxy’s whole style and flow is what gets here where she is. She’s nice with it.

    As far as the album. I do believe they went behind her back and changed up the album. Because it sucks, like 4 out of the 15 songs on it are the same verses just differnt beats. And then like 3 songs on it are from like 4 years ago. But Fox can bounce back, no doubt.
