Whitney Performs ‘I Love The Lord’ In Morocco

Published: Tuesday 27th May 2008 by Sam
More footage from Whitney Houston’s set at Morocco’s ‘Festival Mawazine’ last week has hit the net. Check out the 44 year old performing ‘I Love The Lord’ below (the vid quality is a shambles, but the sound is great):

‘The Voice’ really is on the comeback trail; she sounded awesome. Random, maybe, but vocally, with that performance, she squatted all over every showing Mariah has given thus far this year. Bring on the new album already.

Any thoughts?

YES WHITNNEEYY!!!! Sing for the Lord.. She sounded so amazing compared to what she’s expected to sound like!! and her background singers were on it.. Wow.. PRAISE!!

She sounded way better then she has in the last few years and I am excited for her..but that Mariah comment was not needed.

I am sure if Mariah was on these shows taking her sweet time then she would sound much better.

Whitney didn’t sound good til after the 3 minute mark.

    Whitney, good job nonetheless.

Go whitney and yea he always has something negative to say about mariah. I say if you don’t like her don’t post anything about her(good or bad)

Whitney is starting to sound like her old self again. Thank God. It would be refreshing to see her sing again. She is by far an icon and one of the best singers alive.

    Sounds like she’s improving.
There was still some hoarseness 3 mins in and it was obvious she had reached the height of her range in full voice.
The echo on her voice offered a distraction.

Mariah voice is in pretty much the same shape.

    Nodules really are a b****!

I hate the way she sings stuff live…like, the cadence and stuff. Sounded better though

Whitney sounded good here but why bring Mariah’s name into this? Mariah on Idol singing Bye Bye was better than this in my opinion (minus the feedback from the mic).

Mariah has had some fantastic vocal moments this year. You can highlight every vocal failure, but it’s Mariah Carey. When you’re T HAT good, you can’t be THAT GOOD all the time. Most professionals aren’t. Look at sports. The greatest baseball players still have a low batting average and Gold Medalist gymansts still fall off the balanace beam. It doesn’t discredit their talent. Get a clue.
