The video for Nelly’s brand new single ‘Body On Me (ft. Ashanti & Akon)’ just went live on the St. Louis star’s official website. I’m totally liking this one; the clip captures the vibe the of the song really well and with summer right around the corner, the timing of this release has me thinking he may very well have a smash hit on his hands (the song is already receiving heavy radio play on all major stations here in the UK).

Ashanti is lookin’ good. Nelly is on point. and akon is akon haha. But overall good video to match the summer vibe song. They should have mix this version a bit better though. Add in more of Ashanti’s ad libs and her first verse as the second verse. Would’ve made it better. It’s funny too see so many people hating on Ashanti these days. Keep hating, it just makes you look ignorant and pessimistic.

Yeah Ashanti looks really good. I never understand why so many people hate on her. She always comes off as a nice sweet person to me. But her featuring on the track was a little useless. Would of been nice if she had a bit more space on the track and a few more oohs and ahhs towards the end but overall i like it. Nice song and video. Cant say i’ll be buying the album but the songs a nice listen.

Britney Spears is attempting yet another comeback: Reps have confirmed that she is at work on the follow-up to 2007’s Blackout. A statement from Jive Records and Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph says that “Britney Spears is spending her summer in the recording studio, working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters. We’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far.” So is Sean Garrett, who happens to be one of those producers. “We’re trying to take her stuff to the next level,” he tells EW.com. “I’m going to come up with something crazy for her.” Spears has sold 83 million albums worldwide in her career, but Blackout only went platinum in the U.S., likely due to declining CD sales and her status as last year’s most permanent tabloid fixture. But Garrett — who’s also worked with Usher, Beyoncé, and Chris Brown — welcomes the challenge. “I like to work on an artist when they count them out…and bring them back.”

Wow i mean i like both ashanti and nelly but he had like 4 singles out and no album nor was any of those singles really top ten hits what’s going on here? Honestly, people like Alicia Keys have hype around them for no reason because her album sucks and Usher also sold alot but what is his album doing now!!! It sux!!! Saying that Alicia’s album sux is a matter of opinion because the close to 4million people that got the album did not think so and it is still selling. Ashanti is cool but her new album is not selling at all and i think that right now there are other artist that are overshadowing her…trust me when i say that this album will not recive any love when it comes to awards season she will not win. The video is ok and sound is just blah to me. Nelly needs to leave Ashanti b/c since they’ve been together publicly his career has been in the dumps. Anytime, you release four singles and you album gets pushed back at least 4 times there is an issue. And Ashanti maybe every these days however nobody’s paying her or her album any mind b/c last I check she only moved 157,000 her in the states with her new album…
So what if 4 million people brought Alicia’s album. There’s 4 million more that did not buy it. That doesn’t mean the music is good because it sold. I can’t stand fans who think like that either. All this sales crap is only temperary gratification. It’s not long term at all. Just like you won’t be a celebrity forever. I don’t care how famous you are, or how many records you sold or is selling now. You can come out next week and flop. None of this is promised to any of them. I myself didn’t enjoy Alicia’s album the way I thought it would. Best believe Alicia, Beyonce, Rhianna and Keyshia, are all going to catch their flop and brick too. In fact, Keyshia’s first album was a flop. Until Interscope pumped out 5 singles, and it eventually went platinum.
Anyway, right now Ashanti’s album is at 200,000 copies. AND SO WHAT IF IT IS. It don’t stop me from listening to it. It doesn’t mean her CD is not good because it didn’t do 800k in a week. You’re not a fan if you only like something because it sold. That makes you a trend hopper and bandwagoner. Not a fan. What’s funny is, you guys talk so much about vocal talent. But you don’t support them either. Because plenty of your favorite vocalist, are flopping left and right as well. So what does that say about y’all?
Cut the crap about the awards. They have no merit anyway. NARAS and the industry voters are practically paid and payolaed, to hand out these awards to whoever. So none of these chicks are getting them honestly anyway.

Lastly, Asahnti is not the only artist to have a moderate success period in her career (she knows that herself, but you don’t see her stopping because of it). They’re all going to take a hit to their chart topping success one day (like I said, none of this is promised to anybody). G Unit just learned that hard lesson. So ease up.

She has no special powers to control nothing LOL. Naw, I’m just joking. Dude has always been wack as a door knob though. And it just finally caught up with him. In all truth, it really doesn’t matter. Because every single artist, isn’t going to sell a ton of records or have the hits that they use to. Especially in this day and age. If you’re not a part of that 4 or 5 few, you can forget it. But I’m not mad at Nelly. He had his successful years (in terms of the masses). He made his money.
