Continuing along her promo trail here in the UK, Solange performed ‘I Decided (Part 2)’ on T4 recently. The few off-notes aside, I enjoyed this performance. I’m hoping we see more live performances of other material from her forthcoming LP ‘Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams’ soon, though.

She needs more vocal lessons. Why does this chick thinks she’s “different”? Just because you wear some random shoes or strange headgear with a plain dress does not make you “different”. Solange and family already have money. I would rather spend my money on Janelle Monae. I have all of Amy Winehouse cd’s. I don’t need the bootleg version of Amy.
I agree about he post above. I liked Solange before but now she’s starting to irk me, reason – This whole difference tip, why does she have to tell the whole world about the type of music you listen to and your dress sense, do all black folk do this? why it seems like a act is this is all she goes on about in interviews – just be you/do you you don’t see Janelle monae doing this, Jimmy Hendrix or other artists they just do there things.

I know some of these black blogs really pump Solange up, but I’m just not feelin her. She tries so hard though, so I wish her the best.

I love Solange and she can talk about how different she is whenever she wants. Shes not Jimmy Hendirx or Janelle or Amy. And I can look past her being Beyonce’s sister because I like Solange’s music for her!
Her family has money? So what! You can have a job and be rich as ever! Shes doing it to get these songs out there.

As far as I’m concerned,she’s just a more eccentric version of Beyonce. She’s not authentic neo-soul. At least not for me. But, I do respect her for daring to be different and I do think she’s a decent song writer (a much better writer than her sister).Her lyrics actually make sense. I’m sure this generations young hippies will be checking for her.
Solange played herself to me when she sung in London next to a white girl and she was making Solange sound horrible, Solange sounds ok but FACT:if it wasn’t for who your family is you wouldn’t be considered all that. There are other female artist this site has posted that sounds way better than her but we know that they aren’t going to get the promotion they need becuase of who their sister is!! Sorry Solo but the slow sungs I have heard from you aren’t good becuase you just carry a tune you aren’t a really good singer. Sorry!!!
