It appears as though those who thought the controversial ‘axing’ of Aubrey O’ Day and D. Woods from Danity Kane signalled the end of the drama surrounding the once-five-piece were wrong. According to new reports, there continues to be internal friction within the group and Bad Boy/MTV, with the ladies apparently refusing to sign on for the next season of Making The Band 4. Check out the report via ForWomenOnline.com below: We have learned that MTV will begin shooting the next season of Making The Band in 2 weeks, however, it will be WITHOUT the 2 members of Danity Kane. Apparently, the group is said to be extremely fed up with Diddy and living out their lives in front of the MTV cameras.
The new season is following Day 26(the male group formed from the reality series) as they go out on the road and prepare to tour Europe. The season will also capture Donnie Klang a.k.a. Aubrey O’day’s former love interest, as he tours with New Kids On The Block.
The remaining girls(Dawn Richards, Aundrea Fimbres) and possibly Shannon Bex?? will have a “meeting” with Diddy on camera but that is their extent of their participation right now with no contract in place to appear in the new series. Maybe this will be the episode where Shannon tells Diddy and her fans that she quit? We hear that she has not “officially” come back to the group and though she may perform here and there with the remaining 2 group members, she did resign and no one has heard otherwise.
A mess, if there ever was one. For all their ‘potential’, I’m sure as anything that no one will be watching Making The Band 4 just to see Day26. For the sake of the group, show and whatnot, here’s hoping Danity Kane in their original form patch it up and keep it moving.

Yes, Danity Kane is definitely all over the place. You never know what’s going to happen next. Although I don’t blame them for not wanting to sign onto another season of MTB. Personally, this was bound to happen because as history shows, no artist stays with Bad Boy long. I’m not heartbroken of the split of Danity Kane or their not being on the show because I don’t like their music anymore. Welcome to the Doll House was not a good album, it sounded like television pop. There first album had some songs that sounded manufactured, but they still had some good tracks. What the heck is Bad Girl?
I only watch Making the Band just for Day26; they need to get rid of Donnie’s no talent self too.
This whole mess could have been avoided if the ladies of DK would have simply talked and shared their feelings with each other. I was disappointed to see the way things ended for them. My thing is Aubrey didn’t do anything to her fans. Yeah, she partied a bit, became a bit of a Diva, and the Complex photos were a little risque, but she showed up when she was supposed to. What female group really gets along? The Supremes, TLC, En Vogue, Destiny’s Child, SWV, the Spice Girls, etc. all had their share of dramas. DK is no different. The thing with DK though is their drama could have been avoided if Diddy really cared about them. Turn the cameras off, get them a therapist, let them put on the table the issues they have with each other, let them fight, scream, kiss, makeup, and keep it moving. But egomaniac Diddy has to prove he’s in charge and doesn’t like backtalk, even when he asks the person for their opinion. So there goes another Bad Boy act. Does he really think Cassie and Donnie Klang are going to save his label? Day26 are talented, but they just don’t scream Superstars.I wish the ladies of DK well. I hope that Sean changes his mind and lets D. Woods and Aubrey back in the group. That would be awesome!

Everybody wants stability in their life. I thought it was sad that they did not know if the group would consist of five or three members until the season finale. They had to wait until the last show aired for Diddy to confirm that the group will only consist of Shannon, Dawn, and Aundrea.
I will not be watching or buying any of diddys products anymore he is allowing other band members to speak bad about aubrey especially (que) so i will not be supporting anything of bad boy entertainment and i will also be passing my feelings to everyone i come in contact with
I was a big fan of Danity Kane, seen them 4 times, 3x in a concert setting. The girls are all talented in different ways. Their music is amazing. The direction for the sophomore cd was on point. I still bump both CDs as if I just bought them and I have ALL of their unreleased tracks including Dawn’s. The breakup is disheartening to say the least.
I am however very dissapointed in the way things played out. Dawn really threw Aubrey under the bus. She said her pics in Complex were too much for thier 13 year old fans (im 27 btw). Yet Dawn wrote Lights Out which btw was not about a power outage. They also ALL sang sexually charged songs to include; Striptease, Ecstasy, Secret Place, Bad Girl, Come Over…the list goes on. My point is Dawn is a hypocrite as well as a backstabber. She was about to cut a solo deal with Diddy and the blogs caught wind of it and pulled her cards, plain and simple. She should’ve not only been a true friend, but an adult and let her bandmates know her intentions with Diddy. She didn’t, and then she used Aubrey as a scapegoat. I have no respect for Dawn anymore.
The harsh reality is that not only will no one be checking for DK without the 2 axed members, but Dawn’s solo career will go nowhere. The market is saturated with solo singers who are on their 3rd and 4th albums and still can’t produce sufficient enough numbers on Billboard in order to stay relevant. Some have looks to carry their lack of talent. Dawn only has her talent, and she played herself.
I have to gracefully bow out as a fan. I will continue to listen to the already purchased music. However DIDDY will not sucker me into lining his already fat pockets. He’s an opportunistic asshole and pimped those poor girls just like he pimped every other artist past and present. Every dog has it’s day and SO WILL U DIDDY!
