Congratulations to all the nominees – most especially the Brits. I’m particularly proud of Estelle and Leona. The Grammy’s are undeniably the most prestigious body an artist, of any nationality, could wish to be recognised by. So it really is a big deal seeing some of home-grown talent flying the flag.

Winners are announced February 8th 2009.

Congrats to all the nominess they all fully deserve it. Although I must say i’m a bit disappointed that Alicia Keys was left out in the major catergories because her album ‘As I Am’ is such a great album.

SAM YOU SAID IT BEST WHEN YOU SAID THAT BEYONCE IS THE GAME,ALICIA KEYS TIME IS UP,EVEN THE PROFESSIONALS SEE IT NOW.OH WELL

BEYONCE HAS THE # 1 SONG AND THE # 3 SONG IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW

NOW ASK YA FAVORITE ARTIST TO TELL ME SOMETHING
    WHERE YA BOSS AT?!
BEYONCE HAS EVERY REASON TO FEEL LIKE SHE'S THAT BIT(H!
BECAUSE SHE IS THE # 1 DIVA IN THIS GAME
SHE HAS MORE # 1 SINGLES IN THIS DECADE THAN ANY OTHER ARTIST IN THE GAME PERIOD!

YO WHAT THE F*** IS UP!! why had alicia keys As I Am not in anything.. That was on e of the most successful R&B albums in the past year.. what the hell that makes me mad.. and if Rihanna wins another grammy i'm done with the music industry…

The Grammys are rubbish, gone are the days when they were considered important for a artist to received, most of the people who are up are pure rubbish and some I never even heard of, like always with the grammys

I was SHOCKED @ Alicia getting no love, but they gave her some rushed love last years, but the Eagles and ish, i read Goldderby.latimes.com and for a cd sonld only at Walmart the eagles got no love in album or the years, i wasn’t htat shocked for wayne but c’mon he’s not that hot, but ne’yo ‘AOTY’ nod, OMFG, his cd sold beans and this, good looks then. umm good for Jaz Sul in ‘BNA’, freak the Jones Bros. and put Estelle in that, great she got ‘SOTR’ tho but since Amy (a brit) won last year, idk, i am DEF. tuning in to see who’s winning, it will be a night of surprise wins, in the major categories i think!!! Beyonce came too late, so maybe next year but Kanye, Jay-Z, Britney are coming out, sooo we will see!! Mariah got NADA, wow! (lowercase wow on purpose!)

i’m just glad they didnt nominate “popular people” just because thats what people want to see,i feel that alot of well deserving people got nominated, and i pray that lupe wins every one that he is nominated for because the cat is sooo underrated….j sullivan deserves best new artist…actually on the rap category i own all of those albums and love every single one…..i do think coldplay is gonna come out as big winners though,i like them

For my part, I hope Allison Krauss and Robert Plant take some Grammy love home. Their "Raising Sand" album was incredible. All of you should check it out, even though it's folk-rock, not R&B.

  10. tia December 4, 2008

jazmine sullivan got a good 3 nods as i look at the whole list….bey got a nod for best audio on the expeirience tour with “me myself and i” and even trey songz snagged a nod

  11. Anonymous December 4, 2008

I’m pissed cuz A keys was snubbed for Best Song and Best album!! She only got 3 nods..

  12. Anonymous December 5, 2008

No the person who really got snubbed was Ashanti. She came back hard this year and had a single ("The Way That I Love You") reach number 37 on the Hot 100, number 2 on the Hot Hip Hop/R&B songs, and NUMBER 1 on the Hot Reccurant Hip Hop/R&B Songs.

Not to mention there were other album tracks that were Grammy worth of at least nominations… Didn't expect "Good Good," to get a nomination because of it's lyrical content, but still a great song from the album, .The Declaration.'

Not to mention the album was great and released in June 2008, so it would have been perfect timing. Bad judgement on the Grammy's part.

    GO ADELE!!!!!!

  14. Anonymous December 5, 2008

Grammys are trash! Why was Jay-Z nominated? Where are the other great artist who had great songs out, Alicia Keys, Ashanti.. I am happy Jennifer Hudson got the nods, at least they did something right. When you don’t conform to white america or start dying your hair blond, and showing all your assets, you are knocked out of everything…

Beyonce just need take a break have some babies…… Get some new music and then come back in a fews years. We are so tired of her
