R&B singer Monica recently took a moment to address her fans, confirming in the process that her delayed new album, which has a working title of ‘Lesson Learned’, will be released 1st quarter of next year (January-March 2009). She also talks producers for the record, which are sounding like a hit-making mix.
Definitely checking for this one. Here’s hoping the release frame sticks…

I'm so excited. Personally, a little tired of only hearing Beyonce & Rihanna on the radio. Radio is so manufactured. Plus, I feel real r&b is almost dead & we don't support black artist like we should. Heck- Britney can have a breakdown & come back strong & radio brushs over artist that can actually sang. Mo is gonna bring the heat! Just hope her label promotes her right
Yep, i agree with all the comments. I have to say that i’m still checking for my 1995 chicks, unfortunately Aaliyah is no longer with us and i’m in a grey area with Brandy (missing beats) so Monica has to do her thing. I’m also looking out for Lil’ Mo and hoping SWV return and Mona lisa makes a comeback.

I'm excited by this project in particular as Mo seems to be headed to the direction of finding her raw and emotional vocals with a less hip-hop edge. Look 4ward 2 hearing her Collab with Keyshia Cole.
With Monica i think its less abouts sales and more about her deliverance of an album now because she's rated by more or less all her peers and Clive Davis wouldn't have had her so long if he never believed in her abilities.
Hopefully this time round its all about the singing rather than image and following whats current in the industry..
I have all her albums and my favorites are mainly Miss Thang and After The Storm
I heard B.C** talkin about a song that Monica did with Stargate (Not "Taxi") thats a real sangin sound and grammy award sounding song which made him say he had 2 step up his game and create Still Standing so i'll be very keen when that comes out!!!

Monica NICE! Good vocals still showing competition to those that think less of her vocal ability when compared to other artists. Her and Keysh should be hot hope it isnt to hood. Will show Brandy how to put out a real RnB Album. Although Brandy’s Pop n B album is sick! I will be looking for her projects along with Ciara’s and Chris Brown’s, Jay’s, Dream’s and maybe 50’s. Only albums 09 im looking forward too. Oh and Usher’s. Rihanna is rumored to have an album out next year but ill pass. Whitney’s too if she ever comes out.
Heck yes I am! I can't wait. 09 will be the year of the R&B Divas:Brandy,MONICA,Keyshia Cole,KELLY ROWLAND,J Hud and possibly some new blood. Music as of late has been a disgrace but I have a feeling there's about to be a revolution. Authenticity is making a comeback. I'm already looking forward to the awards shows of 09.
