R&B singer Keri Hilson performed her smash ‘Turnin’ Me On’ on 106 & Park yesterday. I really enjoyed this performance. Though I’m not the song’s biggest endorser, I’m glad Keri is getting her shine that she deserves with this. After the countless delays, the song’s success seems to have finally secured her a release date for her debut LP ‘In A Perfect World’, which will now arrive in stores on March 24th.

loved it!!! She really has an amazing voice, no lies.. I feel like she need to stay Urban like this.. The thing is, when I irst heard this song I didn’t even know she sang it because she can sing so much better than this. But I was immediately drawn to the beat! It’s so hot.. the beat reminds me of something Aaliyah would do.. like the breakdown part of “We need a resolution” when Timb raps

I love it, she’s fun, quirky, and doesn’t act super prissy and uptight. Nice voice too.
she just put herself in the category of so many other pop artist. I really thought she was different and had more substance to her. Dissapointed.

IVE HEARD SOME OF THE SONGS, AS SHE SAID ON 106.. THE SONGS EVERYONE USE 2 HER SINGIN. SHE HAS THEM ON IT.. I MUST SAY HER AND TEARRIA MARIE ALBUMS ARE GOING TO BE SO GOOD AND WELL ROUNDED.. AND I LIEK THAT THEY NOT DOING POP.
Yeah, to me this style, is SO not her. Like the person said above, it don’t even sound like her. Distorting her voice, thats something Ciara/Rihanna/etc. would do. Sad because I liked both her other singles way better. My order of like-ness would have went:
1. “Return The Favor” [The Demo Version]
2. “Energy”
3. “Turnin’ Me On”
This is not manufactured, OK Keri, let’s distort your voice, make it more Rihanna-esq, put a high profile rapper on the track, and make gotta make sure the tracks lyrics are edgy. LAME.
How do you go from making a track like “Energy,” to this bs. Either way if, and I mean IF her album is released, it still won’t sell. She’ll be lucky to sell near 80K her opening week.

Im glad Keri is finally getting the recognition she deserves. This may not be her “best” song to some, but I see nothing wrong with an artist creating a song that is outside of their Norm.
