'Notorious: The Movie': Your Thoughts?
While the Notorious B.I.G biopic hit theatres in the US last month, the movie is set to debut here in the UK on February 13th. That Grape Juice was on hand at the selected press screening hosted by Fox last week in London’s Leicester Square.
I must say, after being a little pessimistic about the movie upon hearing about it, I was positively blown away. The stellar cast and the very impressive capturing of the 90’s Hip-Hop scene really made for this to be one of the most authentic (feeling) biopics I’ve seen. A great movie.
(Tidbits: Angela Basset really shines as Biggie’s mother Voletta, while former 3LW star Naturi Naughton really surprises with her turn as Lil’ Kim. Puffy is also a must-see)
With that, we want to know, for those who have seen the movie, as well as those who plan to…
Your thoughts on ‘Notorious’?

I loved the movie and didnt get bored once. It was to the point although I would have loved to see some parts in more detail it is a movie after all and they cant drag it on for hours. I would have also loved to c 112 in it someho or even ma$e. Over all though it was fantastic. Great acting and although we knew the story line it was mad good too watch.

I loved it I don’t know what people are talking about when I saw it I remembered Biggie’s interview with Tupac, I don’t agree with people saying they made Pac look like a thug sh*t he was and he was real that’s how he joked about, as for Li Kim I thought Naturi did a good job and that’s how Kim was she wasn’t portrayed as a jump off she was more like a stupid girl who kept messing with a guy even though he dissed her over and over again, and the movie was not about her but Biggie,

Also you gotta love the bit when Suge Knight dissed Diddy for always being in the videos dancing, he still does that and needs to quit.

I forgot that Big was so young when he died I mean 24 I knew once Pac died he was gonna die afterwards and it was still upsetting, he was just starting, anyway I loved the movie, I’ll get it on DVD it was good dunno what people where talking about saying it wasn’t good.

I’m looking forward to the Aaliyah movie

a bit of a let down. Tupac is portrayed quite badly ad since the movie was co-produced by biggies mother im pretty sure this isnt completely true to life.

It is whack! They could have gone so much further with the movie and it was rushed. I did think the characters portrayed their characters excellent, but the sory line was weak.

I walked out with the same info I walked in with, like I thought I was going to learn something new NOPE… it was ok , but to me didn’t live up to all the hype. It seemed rushed to me and some of the characters were just not believable like, Lil Cease and Pac.

IT WAS OK….I MEAN I DON’T PARTICULARLY LIKE THE ERSON THEY HAD PORTRAY TUPAC. ALL THOUGH I LIKE ANTHONY MACKIE AS AN ACTOR HE DID NOT CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF TUPAC AT ALL. EVERYONE ELSE WAS ON POINT. BUT WHAT I NEVER KNEW OR I GUESSED REALIZED WAS THAT LIL’KIM KNEW BIGGIE FIRST AND HE TREATED HER KIND OF BAD. BUT LIL’ KIM SAID THEY DID HAVE A REALATIONSHIP AND THEY WERE IN LOVE. BUT HE COULDN’T EVEN MARRY HER. I GUESS BECAUSE SHE GAVE IT UP TO QUICK. SMH. OL WELL.
