The force that is Lady GaGa made an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday to promote her much anticipated ‘The Fame Monster’ LP. GaGa, real name Stefani Geranotta, chatted it up with Terrance and Rocsi about the re-release, working with Beyonce, finding herself as a person, her struggles and so much more.

A great interview, I must say; one which really drove home the fact that behind the eccentricity and wacky outfits, a very intelligent and sane (lol) woman lays. Check outs parts 1, 2 and 3 below:

    Intelligent?

The only people who would find her self-indulgent nonsense intelligent are spoilt little queens who still live at home with their parents.

Why is she saying it’s all about the music when she goes out of her way to make it NOT about the music with her ridiculous publicity stunts.

This b**** is nothing more than the white version of Rihanna. They have everything in common – they’re not great singers/dancers, and they both dress up like a couple of freaks.

Take away the gimmicks and costumes from this chick, and what do you have? Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I have to agree with Sam on the intelligent thing, Lady Gag is obviously smart enough to fool her fans into thinking she’s the new “Princess of Pop”. *puke*

ok the thing about gaga is this — im not a hater or anything, but every1 keeps saying how shes so good and is “the best”. i dont see it tho. her vocals arent anything near amazing, and neither is her dancing. one thing about her is that shes really eccentric and different from the rest. but talent wise, i just dont see it. i think ppl are hyping her up to be more than what she is, and to the person who said shes better than britney spears – come on now. im no britney fan, but even i kno thats not really true.

i think this generation has really dumbed down what true talent and artistry really is. it used to be where we would recognize an artist as “the best” by their vocal ability, or their ability to dance (or both), thing that have to do with music. nowadays, it’s who’s “dressed the weirdest” that makes the artist good, not talent. again, im not hating on gaga (and rihanna, cuz shes included in this as well), but we have to be real here folks. thats just how it is, whether people want to admit it or not.

I completely agree with you thatgrapekoolaid. Its a shame to see REAL talent flopping and lackluster talents (Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa, Black Eyed Peas) dominating.

Dead @ Lady Gaga as the “white” Rihanna, it’s actually quite true when you really think about it. Only Rihanna puts out better singles (except for lately) 😛 ThatGrapeKoolaid, I honestly couldn’t agree more with your last point!! Preach it, seriously.

It’s not even about this generation dumbing down, If you keep constantly hearing something over the radio, in the clubs and hearing everyone sing and chant the same thing all the time you’ll start to sing it also, It’s all about catchy stuff this generation if you have’nt figured that out by now it’s sad. Like Sam said they force feed you until you like it! I.E. Rihanna’s Disturbia, I could’nt stand it for nothing in the world now I love it after hearing “BUM BUM BE DUM BUM BUM BE DUM DUM” all the freaking time, SMH.

Now one thing about GaGA she can actually sing unlike Rihanna so to try to compare her in the vocal department is very harsh IMO. Now as for the interview I like her, but she comes off as nonchalant to me… Am I the only one?

Oh man…I can’t believe Lady Gaga has haters PERIOD. First of all, why is she getting bashed for being different? She said it herself, she’s VERY different. This just shows what kind of people you are. This girl is the total package. She sings, she dances, she writes her own music, and she’s an intelligent person (she attended NYU). You can’t say that for other artists. Yea, I’m a big fan of hers. She has no publicity stunts (if you call her outfits publicity stunts you’re an idiot, it’s called self-expression). I agree with ThatGrapeKoolaid though. I was born in the late 80’s and the music has sadly changed and the generation isn’t making room for other really talented artists before Gaga’s time. But the thing is that times change! If you can’t keep up with the times or choose to not change your style (which I would applaud them for), then retire. Lady Gaga is the voice of this generation. Let’s stop hating people and start appreciating.
