Pussycat Dolls Drama; Kimberly Speaks!

The drama that is the Pussycat Dolls‘ reality shows no sign of subsiding. Member Kimberly Wyatt has sensationally gone on record to reveal an apparent rift between herself and lead /only singer Nicole Scherzinger. According to Wyatt, she and Scherzinger have not spoken in months, effectively since the band went on ‘hiatus’. Here’s what she had to say:

“I haven’t seen Nicole at all. I stay in touch with the other girls but not with her. I did send her a couple of emails but I haven’t heard back.

I never really had the chance to do a lot on the creative side, but now I’m working on my own thing. I have no idea how long the break will be or if we will get back together” {Source}

Wow…you’ve got to love her honesty, which is rather refreshing in an age of media-trained responses and the same interview duplicated a million times over. While I’m sure there is a lot more to this Pussycat Dolls hoo-harr than meets the eye (i.e. why Nicole is continually pushed to the forefront when the public are sick of her), I can’t see how so publicly airing out their drama is going to allow anyone to believe any notion of solidarity they may try and fake should they ever come back. What’s funnier is that their creator Robin Antin seems hell-bent on insisting to anyone that will listen that the group is staying together, yet evidently things are crumbling apart for everyone to see. Denial, much?

Your thoughts?

    i honestly lost respect for that whole situation when songs from nicole’s failed solo effort ended up on their second album and sounded exactly the same. like atleast try and fake the idea of this being a group and not one broad with some glorified back up dancers. and robin antin has to say that the group is still together because that’s basically her whole empire.
    all this makes me miss danity kane…..-__-

    I like all of the members in the group, and I wish them all the best. If Nicole wants to go solo, I wish the group would just find another lead singer and keep making music.

    LOVEMUSIC: that’s a good idea about them getting another lead singer. I would like to see the others more showcased.

    It was a cheap tactic. Even stranger, she’s still releasing her solo album in the future. Does she expect her fans to buy the songs twice? I do think the second PCD album is better than the first, but the ‘Nicole and the PCD’ image got old fast. If she’d waited for them all to go solo later, they’d probably have all had success.

    These chickenheaded ho’s are still around??? My goodness, the whole situation is a mess and Robin Antin is so full of s*** if she thinks she’s convincing anybody that this group (if you even wanna call them that) is still a group.

    I actually kinda feel bad for her, as ALL of her groups are flopping and/or splitting up. Girlicious fell off the face of the earth, the Paradiso Girls have yet to land on earth from whatever planet they’re on, and PCD consists of one b**** who can sing (when her voice ISN’T all over the place) and 5 backup dancers who are fed up that they’re not getting any attention.

    I blame Robin, lol.
