Muted Meow! Pussycat Dolls Forced to Sing Big Hit WITHOUT Nicole Scherzinger

The Pussycat Dolls have been wowing audiences on their ‘PCD Forever Tour,’ yet tonight’s show in Warsaw saw the freshly trimmed trio leave jaws ajar for less-than-thrilling reasons.

For, in an odd turn of events, lead Nicole Scherzinger did not make it to the stage to perform the group’s smash hit ‘Buttons.’

With the star carrying the song’s vocals almost entirely (especially in the absence of Melody Thornton, who sat out the reunion), the remaining members, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, were tasked with mitigating the melee.

Find out what went down below…

Instead of filling in for Scherzinger, the duo stuck to the lyrical script and cooed background ad-libs as the music played with an awkward blank spot where the lead vocal would typically be.

Hmm.

There’s a part of yours truly who is disappointed that the ladies did not seize the moment to, at best, shine, and more practically, sing the parts to not render Scherzinger’s absence so glaringly obvious.

However, this may well be one of those damned if they do, damned if they don’t scenarios.

Because not singing leads to stories such as the very one you’re reading right now. Yet, a less-than-stellar showing would easily invite jabs of a harsher reality.

Still, whichever way it’s diced or sliced, it’s unfortunate no one felt equipped to pick up the vocal slack.

Your thoughts?
