The video for The Saturday‘s latest single ‘Ego’ premiered minutes ago on their official Youtube page. In keeping it short and sweet, this is easily the ladies best video yet…no question about it. They all look stunning, the storyline was engaging, and £££ was clearly spent on this one (cheap videos are a pet peeve of mine…unless creative of course -see ‘Single Ladies’).
‘Ego’ is lifted from the ladies sophomore LP ‘Wordshaker’, which is in stores and on iTunes now.
Sorry, but for the cost of this video i am severely dissapointed. Its obviously very glossy and expensive but imo the storyline DOES NOT translate.
So the jist is….all 5 were ‘with’ this superhero guy, like his superhero b******, and then he ditched them and tried to have a big ego on his own, so they tore him down to size.???SORRY but this just doesnt work on so many levels?!!!!!
Its almost like someone misunderstood the song, and thought ‘superstar’ meant ‘superhero’. Thats the only link I can get to them being superheroes in this song. how bizarre and random. Such a shame because I LOVE their album, and and they deserve to be really succeeding, but after this rather crappy video is released, and adds nothing to the song, I cant see much of a future.
This was Polydors last shot at making these girls a success, and they seem to have s*** it up the wall.
They should have taken wordshaker, given the budget to someone with an ounce of creativity and im sure this wudve been a hit.

It’s a good video, best one they’ve had yet…coulda done with some dancing though.
Alsoo to the above person how often does a video exactly follow the story in the song? It could have been a crappy video about a guy cheating on them; but it was a lot more creative imo…
they need to dance more they are becoming quite boring just standing around looking pretty is not enough
