Pop icon Janet Jackson took to the stage a few moments ago on the X-Factor, performing her 00’s classic ‘All For You’ as well as new single ‘Make Me’, which you can watch above!
This performance was everything….breakfast, lunch and dinner! Ms Jackson’s pre-recorded vocals are second to none in the industry (definitely a great crack at creating the illusion of sounding live! LOL). What’s more, she definitely served up a better performance of ‘Make Me’ than her American Music Awards showing last month. The ‘All For You’ dance-break was great to see again too. Great to have Ms. Jackson back!

The only time she lip-synchs is when that particular place that she is performing doesn’t allow live singing like Soul Train for example. And if she does, then she doesn’t even wear a headset. Loved the performance. The audience was definitely much liver and so was her performance. Dancing was much better. Everything was just better. And she has the best recorded vocals ever. Always have. Janet wasn’t lip-syncing in the first song, she was during “Make Me” though. That performance was entertaining and she was dancing like that while being over 40 years old, props. I’m not a HUGE fan of Janet though, her vocals aren’t that strong but when you’re dancing I’ll give you a pass as long as you don’t make me want to ram a scissors through my eardrums.

I honestly do not get how it is that Rihanna can show her face in public, let alone continue to have a successful career and be taken seriously by so many people when there are people like Janet, Lady Gaga and Beyonce, even Ciara to a lesser extent, in the game putting on performances like this, while she does the same thing for every performance, does nothing but strut up and down, and relies SOLELY on her mediocre vocals and other people’s music. That baffles me to no end. I’m not a hater, I’m a lover of talent, and it’s just not right for people to make money half-assing their way through their job, whatever that job may be. I don’t care if you’re a garbage man, a librarian, a pop star, a psychologist or a carpenter, I have no patience for people who half-ass and quarter-ass their way through life.
