Vocalist Leona Lewis performed on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ moments ago. The singer did a rendition of her Golden Globe-nominated ‘I See You’ which was released in support of the ‘Avatar’ film. The soundtrack for the project was released on December 15th.
This was a magical performance. Leona’s voice soared through the scales and she sounded almost exactly like the recorded track. Her voice has such a unique quality to it that takes this song to a completely different place. For once, Leona gave me a thrill both sonically and emotionally. Excellent work.

she truly is amazing! i don’t understand y some people believe that she cat be catergorized with the likes of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston when her talent is evident.
Wow that performance of I See You was amazing. She looked great and sounded brilliant. Just love the build up in the bridge. EPIC.

um….is it just me are was that kind of HORRIBLE? her voice just gets under my skin…it’s like listening to a high school talent show where the best singer in the school is actually the worst singer….not that Leona is completely horrible…but this was NOT BY ANY MEANS an excellent vocal performance….i don’t know, maybe I’ll just never see the point in pushing mediocre talent…
This is a-mazing, indeed an epic performance. She should be selling out on tour instead of Britney. Hell even Jennifer with her last performance.

I compare talent to people like Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Brandy, Chrissette Michelle, Melanie Fiona, Dianne Reeves, Ledisi, early Mariah Carey (pre-emancipation), Tonex, and others. Having been trained in classical music and jazz, I know what vocals are supposed to sound like when they’re lauded as Leona’s are. This performance and others like it just haven’t blown me away like I feel they have. And after watching her win her competition, I just felt that she wasn’t strong enough a singer to beat out the rest. The song itself is amazing, but she flat on several notes where she just as easily shouldn’t have been.

I didn’t see this video, but I watched it yesterday live. It was so bad I had to turn it. This was a terrible performance. I don’t undertstand how people can say that is beautiful??? Her pitch was all off, she had trouble with the notes.

i agree with all those who think she sounded like crap!!!…i like her but that performance was horrible….she was totally off key!!!

Most times i hear her live, she’s on point so she’ll redeem herself as always..
I still think she sound great. Maybe she just needs a rest because she’s been traveling form the US to UK to US To Germany, to Uk and to US all in a month. Maybe thats why her voice isn’t as strong as it usually is. but again i still think she sounded great.

Very and I mean Very Comparable with the likes of Christina Aguilera’s two powerhouse albums, in the form of Stripped, and BAck to Basics. And the only other one I’m thinking of is Melanie Fiona. Much Props to Leona!
