This week’s classic From The Vault video is Britney Spears‘ 2003 smash collaboration with Madonna – ‘Me Against The Music’. Directed by Paul Hunter, this epic clip really encapsulated on-screen the monumental nature of Spears’ and Madonna’s joining of forces (the Princess and Queen of Pop). Moreover, this really showcases Spears’ at what IMO was her peak in terms of swagger, presence and choreography, while at the same time proving ol’ Madge still had ‘it’. Great song, even better video.
Tidbit: Did you know the song was written and produced by a then-little-known production duo called The-Dream and Tricky Stewart?!

Janet had a blacklisting, madonna is white only she could get away with that, but janet is stronger than Madonna because she’s a black artist. Janet been out for 37 years and is almost 10 years younger, madonna been out only 25 years. Dont give madonna points over Janet who obivoily changed laws and had a extra degree of difficulty that weighs more, oh janet make better records and is most beautiful and talented. Plus this is the first collab between Janet and Madonna. I mean Britney…we all know she has janet’s swag on this one. If funny that brit is more influenced by janet than Madonna. The dream DID write this song, but i remember him saying in an interview that after Britney got her hands on it they total changed the way the song was originally written by him, and he didn’t like the direction. So yes the dream is the original writer. What the other people did to his song and lyrics after the fact is irrelevant . It was all the Dream in the beginning, but you know how people like to re-write certain things to get royalties.
